Offline Business Builder Series: "Every Offline Marketer On The WF Should Read This Book Everyday!"

Hey Offliners,

I know that's a bold statement, but let me tell you why I feel that way about a certain book.

Over the last year or so, I've been developing my own core principles, values and business building principles.

What that means is that I've been analyzing all of my new and old significant business and personal experiences - failures, successes and anything in between and I've milked them for the lessons I've learned.

I also scoured all of my hundreds of business books, websites, training programs and products and began filtering out things that for one reason or another won't work for me.

I did all of this so I could begin to build my own core personal and business belief system.

(When you want answers and desperately need to change because you're sick and tired of medocrity, there's no limit to the things you'll do to improve.)

As an aside, developing my own core beliefs was one of the most important steps I took to truly abandon the shiny-object syndrome.

Because for me, a few wso's, products and programs were still slipping through the crack even though they didn't fit into my current business model or goals.

But, when I combined "not fitting into my current business model or goals" with "doesn't align with my core principles, values and business building principles", I practically destroyed shiny-object syndrome.

Back to the main point...

As I began to develop my own core business and personal beliefs, I stumbled across a principle called, "The Law of Slight Edge."

Now, I realize that the slight edge is a book and a online community, but at the time that I recognized the principle as being important in my life, I didn't know the book or community existed.

I was simply recognizing one of the main forces behind my successes and failures.

So, when a few weeks ago a mentor of mine recommended a book called "The Compound Effect: Jumpstart Your Income, Your Life, Your Success" by Darren Hardy, I jumped all over it.

In fact, I've read this book two or three times in the last two weeks.

Yes, it's that good.

I don't know the author, I'm not an affiliate of the book and I'm not giving out a link to the book. If you're serious about improving your offline business, you'll make the tiny bit of extra effort to take the next step.

The reason why I say every offliner should read this book everyday is because the main concept of this book is the principle of using small but consistent daily action to accomplish seemingly incredible goals.

That is how poor, broke landscapers grow from having one client (that's really a family member that feels sorry for them) to building a twenty person sales team that's closing 30-50 deals a month.

That's also how retired school teachers who didn't know a darn thing about facebook six months ago can become one of the most well-known authorities on selling facebook fan pages to local business owners.

They took daily consistent action to reach a desired goal.

The book "The Compound Effect" gives personal and business illustrations of what the author and many other people were able to accomplish with small but consistent daily action. These examples can easily be applied in all of our offline businesses.

Hope this helps,

Chris
