Would you depend ONLY on link juice to get backlinks? I've heard a lot of people say it's good.. but as far as offsite SEO.. could you depend on it alone?

        I don't claim to be any type of SEO expert, frankly I doubt that anyone can hold such a title very long considering the constant changes. However, as I understand it, "link juice" refers to the relevance (ie page rank) of the page the backlink is coming from. The opinions seem to run the gamit as to the relevance of PR these days. Some have said that the value of the backlink is also related to the content and anchor text or the page it's coming from.

        Backlinks are a crucial factor but these days the source of the backlinks are evaluated more closely than they used to be. Case in point is what J C Penney did in 2010 relative to questionable backlinking.

          Yeah, the thing is, it really isn't that expensive. SEO, can be 5K+ a month... reputation management is important, people can charge that and higher!

            Yeah true but the target market of a site selling backlinks is other internet marketers, who know they can shop around for a good deal.

            The people paying 5k are the brick and mortar businesses who need an expert to help them do the entire end to end process.

            Check out warriors for hire, or the WSO section, or even many of the other backlinking site and yeah you will see!

    The bottom line for me on anything is : "is it working?" and by "working" I mean, is it making me money.

    I read a lot of things on here and most are really great, however, some are getting so caught up in the forrest, they don't see the trees.

    The end all be all for me is try it, does it get your targeted traffic, signups and/or sales???

    If so, do more of that, if not, do something else.

    Also, don't rely on one method anyway. I have posted other posts about all things to do that I do to get targeted traffic and you can search for them by my user name.
