Has anyone used WP Sales Buddy? Is it a Good Membership Plugin

I've been getting emails about a plugin called WP Sales Buddy. It is suppose to a membership plugin or sell digital downloads directly from
your WordPress blog. I want to buy it but I wanted to get some feedback before I do.

I bought the multi-site edition and also the $7 upsell training, but havent had a chance to check it out yet.

Hopefully I can test it out in the next few days when I get time.

Right now we use wp memberchamp and love it, but it does have alot of limitations.

2 RockStars (RockStar Ben and Myself) will be releasing a brand new plugin that will solve all of those limitations in the next few weeks :-)

This sounds like a pretty good plugin for some niches. I'll be checking this thread later on for some hopefully good user feedback.

  Hi,
  I purchased yesterday Friday 27th at 6:00 am. Installed and did the configurations as per manual. Found out that integrated Paypal button is not working and there is no way to place code in it except by adding the Paypal email address to a form. Sent a ticket to support at about 10:00 am. It's 12:50 am on Saturday and no answer from support. Their ticket system says they answer within 24-48 hs. I guess I will be the whole weekend without being able to solve the issue. I really don't like it very much when products that seem to be straightforward in their set up already have a problem out of the box. I don't like wasting my time troubleshooting. I expect products I purchase to be without flaws. Other than that the plugin seems to be quite acceptable with all the necessary functions for a membership site with Wordpress, either for selling products to download or subscription to posted information.
  I can't tell you much more until I get an answer to my ticket. But I already feel a bit negative about this. And if I don't get an answer by Monday, I place the refund.
  I will update here after I get (or don't get) an answer from support.

  I've received email for this plugin too, but it exists free plugins on wordpress.org like for example Membership, Paid Memberships Pro or s2Member.
  For those who tested, what are the great differences (if they exist).

If you are looking for a membership plugin for WP i would suggest s2member. It's free and pretty good. We use it and have had good results with it.

Setting up Paypal can look a bit confusing at times in the s2member settings but it's not as complicated as it looks.

All in all very pleased with the free version.

I have had about 20 emails from various sellers on this same offer. Must be a good promotion and commissions.

They offer the main plugin with 3 add-ons that usually cost extra for free. The add-ons are Affiliate Buddy so you can run your own affiliate program, Coupons Buddy to offer discounts on your goods, and Subscriber Buddy in order to integrate the subscriptions with your Aweber or GetResponse. You can get a single licence for $9.95 and unlimited for $29.95.

I would assume the customer service from Simon and Jeremy should be pretty good experience all in all since they have a reputation to uphold. When you get a free plugin from wp.org you never really know what you are going to get and since it was free you can't expect somebody to be around to service you and your needs within 24-48 hours...or much at all in fact.

Anyway, I was thinking of getting the single site licence for under $10 and using it for all my physical product delivery on one main site (central hub).

Even if you go with something like Wishlist Member it has it's limitation at $297 from what I have read. So you can search around for this or that and always find something that it is missing in each product.

Anyway, hope that helps coming from somebody who was also wondering if he should get this deal as well...

I was looking at it and was wondering if "Subscriber Buddy " applied to mailing lists or something else...was totally unable to find any info Googling it.

After going through the install manual I decided to not even try installing it and testing it out...lol

Honestly it is not as easy and straight forward to set up as WP Memberchamp.

The only reason I bought it was to test it out because it had the multiple levels which seemed cool.

Hi all,

I got this to work by changing my theme,
It would not work with a premium theme from inkthemes but it is working with another theme I have.

If your having drama then test it out with the twenty eleven theme and see if that makes it work, then find a theme that suits and it still works with.
