for those who show demo sites to potential clients, what info do you guys put in the demo?

use only their logo and show the site with Lorem Ipsum text?
use texts related to their business?
setup contact page with their details?
use pictures and texts from their old site?

    -Find a stock image to use as the header, copy their current logo or make a new one if you're into that.

    -Use some text that describes what they do - "best Plumber in Houston, call us today!"

    - Make a few pages like Home, About us, Contact, Services, etc

    All that shouldn't take more than an hour, and the goal is to make them think "that's MY site!" The more it appears like you made it specifically for the client, the better chance they'll bite when you have them on the line.

      I know this is a little bit old - but you want to fill it if you can...why?

      It's now owned mentally by them and if they don't take it (buy) you will be taking away and it will cause them pain (loss) not to buy.

      Pain is generally always better than pleasure when it comes to selling (unfortunately).

    I used to do that but now I'd rather show them a generic demo, not invest any amount of time unless I know before hand some bits of info that lead to think otherwise, or had a previous conversation that makes it time well spent. And you can still compare your generic demo to what their site looks on a cellphone. Sometimes I'll have a SMS demo with their name as keyword, as that only takes a few minutes.

    create a demo site as attractive as possible so that many buyers are interested, try a homemade template so it may be the same premises with the demo site template or template .. other woods can also order the developer to provide the facility may be useful ..
