Need help..sites are stuck in SERPs after a initial jump after BMR?

After using BMR service for a month or so for many of my sites I moved most of the sites that had either dropped to bottom of page 1 or page 2 after the October algo. So after like 4-6 weeks many of these sites moved up to top 3 spots, several in #2 spots, others in top 5 and the rest in the 5-10 spots. Some went up to #3, but then dropped again to bottom of page 1 again. Other sites climbed from pages 4-5 and made it all the way to #10 spot, but recently dropped back to bottom of page 2.

Now during this time I continue to submit to BMR for all these sites, but there just doesn't seem to be any movement at all any longer. Like for many when I submitted like 40 or so posts the sites moved up like 8-12 positions. Now those that are like stuck at #3 or #2 spot or even stuck at #7 or #8 when I did like 20-25 more posts there was no movement at all. All these sites seem to be stuck in their positions. At the same time I've incorporated a linkpush system for each of these sites to diversify the backlink profile, but still no movement not even 1 more spot movement. I'd like to get those stuck at #2 to #1 (where they were before the Google update anyways), but I just don't know if I should look to other backlink methods or continue with BMR and submit posts.

Anyone else have sites that seem to be stuck in the SERPS after an initial boost from BMR?

Any suggestions on what I can do since moving these sites up a few spots up can really increase earnings for sure?

I pushed two of my rental sites with BMR and one video. The one site that ranked faster is still on page 1. The other site only started ranking on page about about 3 weeks ago. The video started ranking a couple of months ago. The video and the harder to rank site have both fallen to pages 2-4.

I'm throwing more BMR links, as well as other private blog networks. I'm also doing some social bookmarking and article submission. Let's see what happens.

I wonder if anyone else has experienced any drops such as this.

Do social bookmarking more as well as get a few links from forum profiles!!

Google has updated its algorithm 2 times in last one month. [My PR increased bot the times].

apart from this, social media certainly plays a part. Get a google+ business profile and a listing on google maps!! It will help!!

I also recommend to extend your services towards social networking. It will boost regular visitors and also help to get high consideration. Try to find high PR backlink website instead of getting links from PR0 websites.

Examine how you actually have your sites structured and optimized. Conversely the sites I set up make it to page 1 and hold their ranking there without using services like BMR, social bookmarking, or whatever.

After Panda Google is really looking at site structure and optimization closely.

I suspect the reason the sites don't stick after you do an offsite seo promotion is that the sites themselves could be improved upon.

      Can you expand a little?

Are you referring to the link structure in between pages or more then that?

      Thanks

The principles are having your sites Page Titles, heading tags, content, and categories all focused on the keyword phrases you want to rank for.

50% of the time I don't even bother interlinking from page to page, it just depends if I can work in the page name within the content or not.

Content needs to be well written and researched and as some might disagree should be minimum of 800 words per page.

Content should also include optimized images and videos as well.

          Rus Sells,

I gotcha...you were referring to proper seo structure. I thought maybe something with either link structure or code structure.

Thanks for your time and advice.

Sure thing! Nope nothing secret or ninja about it. Just basic sound onsite seo principles, it works wonders for your rankings.

The one site wouldn't hit even top 100 the first 1.5 months. Then it finally made it to page one. Not quite exact match but contains the keyphrase in the domain.

I think I could improve on something you pointed out here: more optimized content. I will make those changes soon.

It seems like properly optimizing can lead these local sites to rank on pages 2-4 for me. Thanks Rus.

My onsite optimization is dead on as far as unique content, length of content, tags, site structure, etc. They utilize the same setup and other sites have been stuck at the #3 spots so I know it's not the way I set them up.

These sites used to rank #1 before the whole Panda thing back in October. But it just seems the more backlinks I throw at these sites (whether BMR links or other types of links) they just won't budge any more. Not even a few more spots up at all. All the other sites on the page that I'm competing with are just internal pages of retail sites which aren't really fully optimized either.

So I don't know what other type of backlinks to do at this time to get these sites moving up again.

mrtrance: what other types of links have you thrown at the site other than BMR? Social bookmarking, article marketing, forum profiles...?

All those. I use a linkpushing service as well which does a random mix of web 2.0, SB, articles, etc.

That's a major part of your problem right there. Many people miss the importance of a firm foundation which is on site optimization. Especially if you don't have unique content and your content length is lacking. The more content you have that's well written, succinct and well researched proves you're an authority on the subject matter.

When Google sees that you'll get rewarded.

Stop throwing back links at it, Google knows what you are doing. Google probably knows you are buying back links because your onsite content doesn't warrant natural backlinking.
