You might try a forum about creating websites. This one isn't.

You should try Wordpress or Joomla, pretty easy to work with and you can also find a lot of documentation, themes, plug-ins and so on.

    Good luck!

I also recommend w3schools, there are complete information in there. And also, it's great to sign up in different forums and get different ideas that can help you. This is what I am doing.

And by the way, what is your niche for you site?

Wordpress is probably the easiest one to get started with and you can do pretty much anything with it these days. If you want to get step-by-step instruction, you can join a workshop group done by Christina Hills called Website Creation Workshops. I've heard fantastic things about her and she'll take you from step one all the way through to designing a professional-looking site.

Depending on the type of site you want to set up, you can also get The Super Affiliate Handbook by Rosalind Gardner. But that is geared specifically towards people who are building affiliate marketing websites.

    Wordpress is easy.

Joomla is OK but it's not as intuitive.

If you can work in MS Word fluently enough, you can make a site in Wordpress. The editor looks like Word. Almost all my sites are WP sites (I have a few free Google sites, to show prospective clients that I'll save them a few bucks here and there).

Hire someone and focus on activities that you can leverage to generate an income instead of trading time for money like an employee.

That's assuming you're actually interested in owning a business vs. just fulfilling a hobby of creating websites based around personal interests.

    Cheers,
