selling google places service in small area?

I live in a small area with a population of only 25k people. The businesses are tight wads. I'm having a hard time justifying my pricing to them. They are really barking at my prices and I emphasize the true value of my service.

any of you in the same situation?

Tips?

Thanks

What are your prices and what are you telling them it'll do for their business? If you're selling your service to doctors and are charging $500/month for the service, you need to really put the point across that only 1 customer per month from your google places listing will bring them in over $2,500 in lifetime revenue (or whatever the lifetime value of a customer is for them). Now let's say you can bring them 2-5 customers a month. that's $5,000 minimum lifetime value your bringing them a month... just sold itself right there.

NickSway is completely right. You need to be selling them on what's in it for them. They don't care that you can get them to the #1 spot. What is that #1 spot going to do for them? They care that because they are in the #1 spot their phone will start ringing and they will start closing more business.

As Nick said do the math for them. Explain to them that X amount of new customers will pay for your services and that's not including the what is hard to measure which includes the number of referrals that one new customer could bring them. Sell them so hard that they will think that their business needs that #1 spot so bad that if they don't they will have to shut their doors.

That might be a slight exaggeration, but you get my point.

    Hope that helps!
