2 New Clients Today and $20,000 Extra Per Year

Title pretty much says it all. Not a bad days work. Well, I say work...

I saw someone recently call another warrior a b'ser because they made $3000 in less than a week, but I think sometimes It's healthy to let others know what is possible.

Possible. Not Guaranteed.

I'm not a millionaire yet but $3000 is a drop in the ocean compared to what some people make. Let's put it into perspective.

What did you do today to get closer to your goals?

In fact, what are your goals and what do you plan to do in order to achieve them?

Stay positive and for god's sake DO SOMETHING!

YOU CAN MAKE IT HAPPEN!

Best,
Steve

    Way to go Steve.

I was able to get two new clients myself today but not for $20K a year. I'm staying on task and following my goals.

You must have a plan. If you don't have a plan, you will fail.

Writing down a list of 5 things to do every day helps me get closer to my goals. It also prevents me from going in several different directions and I feel very satisfied when I'm able to accomplish the 5 things on my list.

    Good luck warriors!

Awesomeness, Steve. It'd be nice if you shed the light on how you gained these two

Tomorrow, I'll be reaching out to a few businesses in a new way. I am excited and we'll see how it goes. Additionally, I noticed 2-3 vans [heating and cooling, electric and water removal specialists).

I'm going to do 20 min research on each and create quick 1-2 page mailers for them. I say mailers but maybe I'll leave them on their vans IF it turns out they are small business and owned by the, well owner. OR send it direct to them.

    Anyway, congrats. $20k is niiiiiiice!

    Good work, Steve!

Definitely, need to ALWAYS be doing something that will move you or you're company forward. It's way too easy to get distracted nowadays with things that won't lead to anything.

When I find myself doing drifting off doing something I ask myself if what I'm doing will be me closer to my goals (I have written down goals). If not, I stop doing them and start doing something productive. It's crazy the things you can get accomplished once you hold yourself accountable.

I love the positivity in this thread!!

I added a new client today as well. Super nice guy, A fellow Warrior member actually. He owns a pay per click company that is prime for growth, really good size it's just him pretty much and he is really set on serious growth. It should turn out to be a really nice long term relationship.

I'm glad you put the emphasis on Not Guaranteed because I think that's the problem with these *naysayers.* I think when they expect to get the results someone else talks about and read these guranteed income disclaimers and all the other foolishness, they try it, it doesn't work so now they believe it's impossible for everyone else too.

$3000 in a week is very obtainable especially if your set up fee is $1500 or somewhere around there..you only need two clients. It's not hard to get 2 clients in one week, the problem is a lot of people don't want to work for it.

They're probably looking at it from their point of view..emailing a couple of businesses probably won't make you that type of money that quickly, but the people making the real money are the people doing the real work.

      Exactly.

Most people who try offline marketing make a few cold calls or send a couple of emails and give up when they don't get a reply.

Me and my friend are sending out 30 packets for our offline reputation management business. Thats a more reasonable amount and since its a physical tailor made package specifically made for their business we feel that we're gonna get at least 1 or 2 clients at the minimum.

All the work has been done. We just have to print and send it out....

Here's hoping we also get to post a success story.

Awesome Steve, way to go. I always enjoy reading about success stories and what's possible when you get focused and take massive action.

May I ask what was your offer for both businesses?

    Thanks again for the share

My last client got a hold of me and I started on the first initial phase for $2,500. We are now potentially talking about me being exclusive for his company in his industry for $15,500 for the year. To me that would be a big deal and my largest client yet, but to some, that's nothing, yet to others, the might not think it's possible.

I continued what I was doing and putting out a few videos and blog posts and they came to me, so plant the seeds, you WILL reap the benefits, so keep on keepin' on!

      Hi,

One was actually a "middle man expert" in a niche I targeted and basically got him to refer people to me to rent out website I own. Double whammy.

I'd be careful about putting flyers on a van you don't own. Not only might they own a very heavy wrench, but you might also get a heavy fine.

      SEO, SEO and more SEO.

I want to scale my business up rather than be bogged down without having to get too involved. SEO takes hardly any time to actually get going if you have a system.

Perspective is a powerful thing my friend!

      Congrats and keep on sowing!

As a side note to everyone reading this: How about instead of going out and trying to sell, go out and try to educate.

You will be amazed how easy they sell themselves when THEY start asking questions.

      Cheers,
      Steve

I landed a client today for $3700 for two sites. One is a somewhat simple blog, the other a more complicated membership site with forum, etc. Ongoing $125 monthly for backlinks.

She was a friend/warm lead, but I"m thrilled! I had to be brave to ask for that much, but I'm glad I did! She'll get personal attention and awesome sites, so why shouldn't I ask for it?

Thanks for all the encouragement, gentlemen.

Thats what dan kennedy says about being a freelancer, you have to be able to keep a straight face, when asking for big fees.

I'm horrible for asking for big fees. Its a stupid issue. I feel that since the job is easy its not worth that much. I guess its because I was always taught in school that you have to work hard for money like most people(get a 40 hours per week job). Its difficult overcoming the conditioning which is why I get sales reps for the actual negotiation to help me.

In reality though, we often pay a huge amount of services that are found cheaper for convenience and user friendliness. For example, a lot of us pay massive amounts of money to lawyers for simple legal procedures simply because we don't them to mess it up.

      Well done Amy!!!

I got a new client today too (at time of this post). Quite a cool project actually.

Someone asked how I get clients, it varies but the latest one came from my website when they were searching for an SEO company.

      Hi,

You have to remember, it isn't just 40 hours of work.

I don't know about you, but I've been using the web since 1997. I started internet marketing in 2005 and ever since then, I have put in countless hours learning.

Learning without pay, learning to simply improve myself.

That's where the value is. That's what they are getting. This war chest of knowledge that has fermented and matured can be of great value to a business - you just need to start seeing yourself as an accumulation of time, knowledge and expertise.

If you don't believe in yourself, how can you possibly expect anyone else to?

I'm realizing that a good part of my fees are paying for my expertise. Not my technical expertise, but my marketing know-how. In fact, I may outsource a lot of the website design... but I direct the calls to action, optin incentives, etc. THIS is the stuff people don't know about, even most website designers.

    Great going Steve.
Had a couple of referral clients come my way. Easy sales! I have to make sure to take care of the ones I have because they are the ones bringing in more clients.

Steve would love to pick your brain about how you approach and use the "middle man" to rent out sites. I have a dental and a dermatologist site in a city that need tenants.
Just trying to figure out who would be their middle men?

BTW, I'm a Backlink Daemon member as well.

    Best to you

      Hey Gecko,

Good man! I got 3 more clients today too

With regards to middlemen, you just need to to think about who has influence. I approached someone who is basically a consultant for said business and he approached them for me.

By the time these business owners spoke to me they thought I was "all that" before I even opened my mouth.

If you are in high ticket niches like dermatology and dental, don't even think about tenants. They are hurting right now, especially dentists with the Groupon resentment. I would consider offering them the leads on a commission basis of about 15%/sale and work with an established practice who can convert the leads well. (A dentists profit margin is about 30% so don't go higher than 15).

On a $3000 pair of braces you would be making at least $300/sale - there's is YOUR incentive to get more traffic to the site. The client has nothing to lose on a commission basis.

Don't forget you can even upsell your SEO services to the practice once they see the leads coming in. Say imagine what it would be like if both my site and yours were position 1 and 2 on Google? Just make sure yours stays pos 1 and theirs 2nd if you do this though..

Sorry it took a while to reply, I've been busy with getting clients and my Backlink Daemon software launch (which I hope you are enjoying ).
