Rental website plan of action check

Hey Guys,

I have been lurking for a while and am very motivated by the rental site method. I used to work for a company that did this similar approach.

Here is my plan of action:

- I am going to attack the spa and dentist verticals first. The [Spas in city] KW gets 700 exact searches a month. The dentist gets around 500 exact searches.
- Going to setup a one or 4 page website. A landing page to capture information.
- Once I capture lead, I will call local spa's or dentist to rent the site.

Testing the market.

- I plan on using adwords to drive traffic to the website first. This will help me understand the market and conversions better.

Question:
1) Is using adword for rental websites a good strategy to enter the market?
2) Once I capture a lead, do I call or email the company?
3) Are these KW numbers a good amount to work with?

Would love any feedback.

Thanks in advance guys.

  • There are guys with more experience at this than me - look for posts by MRomeo09.

But I put up a single page and own the phone number (eg vumber) which I redirect to the customer. Then I can tell how many referrals went through.

    Same deal with redirected emails.

I wonder if the single page will convert well. I thought most people look for a 5 pager basic website. I guess it will only work by testing.

You should obviously offer free demo leads to businesses in this niches. You should proove your services' value and make them cry for your leads. As you said, I advice you to setup a LOCAL number first and once you have some incoming calls (5-10), phone businesses and ask if they do want some clients. Give them the phone numbers you've got and wait until they convert the calls. If they are good at it then you definetely got some money. For keyword research I always use Google Suggest and/or http://ubersuggest.org/. It shows what really people are searching for.

Once the leads start coming in I would definately call the businesses, don't wait for them to email you back. Something along the lines of *Hello this is ___ and I have a few people looking for a dentist in your area..would you be interested in more patients? or can your office handle more patients?

You would probably run into more receptionist calling dental offices, so I would start with the salon niche, but that's just my opinion. I dont work with dentists so i dont know how hard or easy they are to work with, but I do lead generation so I do know that you need your main focus to be on the fact that you already have the LEADS, not just trying to rent the site.

But let them know the leads came from the site, so they can see the benefit of the site also and have no problem paying you monthly for it since it's already producing results.

This is excellent. It is important to highlight the lead rather than renting the site. That will be a tougher sell. I ran into this at the last company I worked for.

I am going to try on one vertical then move onto the next one.

I just have one more question.

Who's information should I put in the contact us page or the phone number? I am concerned about which phone number or the location to use.

How do you get around this issue?

This is actually my question as well, does anyone have some input? I searched the forum but no luck.

Don't make a contact page. Add it later. Just rent a phone number from Phone.com for $1/month in order to forward. I'm more curious about creating a logo that looks like a real business so people will call.

Phone.com raised their prices? I ordered the virtual # last week for $4.88 per month. Now it's $8.88??
When was it only a dollar? Any other options?

Dental office people are trained NOT to let anyone get to the dentist.
Deidra Renee is right. Start with the spas.

Keep a close watch on your Adwords campaigns, because if your lead gen site is not doing a good job of converting, you could run up a large bill before you even have a paying client.
