Wassup Phone Warriors!!

I just started a lead gen business and I have several agents asking me for group health leads, however I cant figure out a good script and cant find one in the forum...

If anyone has a good lead gen script they would like to share for group health or can direct me to the thread that does I would really appreciate it

Thanks in advance,

Troy

Good scripts cost money: that's why you can't find one.

    Read this.

I have to ask...why did you start a lead gen business if you don't know how to generate leads?

Thanks for the info and great post you directed me to...I have a sales plan in place already and that was a good reassurance

To answer your question I know how to generate leads through telemarketing...I have just never done group health

Didn't have any intentions on it either however quite a few agents have been asking so I thought I would branch out into that section.

I don't mind paying just need direction to who does or what WSO might be helpful

      I have to agree.

Script writing, at least knowledge of how to write an effective prospecting script for ANY industry is a necessary skill when starting a lead generation company.

No offense but this is why there are hundreds of call centers and appointment setting companies because everyone thinks they can hire some reps or source some reps get clients and make money but you have to know about telemarketing, writing effective scripts and have the ability to train the reps.

This is also the reason why 2 of my most recent clients told me stories of how they just got done working with a lead generation company that didn't know Sh**.

I honestly mean no offense I can tell your entrepreneurial which is great but you need to really learn what goes into a good script FIRST...not just about group health scripts there's not one group health script out there. Appointment setting is personal to the client, what they offer, and how they specifically add clients as compared to any other group health company.

Try "Wanna Buy some health insurance?"
    Eventually someone will say yes!

You would need to get detaild information from the agent about what qualifies someone as a *good lead.* That way you can tailor your script when calling so it's more of a conversational tone.

You will basically be asking them questions to qualify them in or out (their age, do they have a policy already, when does it expire, etc..) Once you get those questions from the agent you can kind of figure out a good script, get your greeting together and go from there.

The basic greeting will generally be you introducing yourself..*This is ___calling on behalf of ___insurance company..we're giving out free quotes to homeowners/families/businesses like you and I was just calling to ask a few basic questions to see if we could get you a quote on some affordable health insurance*.. then you go into the qualifying questions, but like I said you have to get those from the agent. Are you setting appointments for them or telling them an agent will be calling back?

If you're setting appointments you might want to say something along the lines of *I have an agent that's going to be in your area Tuesday around 3pm will that work for you.* Of course you say this after you realize that they're an actual qualified lead, but it's a lot that goes into telemarketed leads that I can't get into in one post, but basically get more info from the agent so you can see what they're looking for in a lead and go from there.

This type of business is more of an *interview* because of all the questions you will be asking. If the person stays on the phone and answers all of your questions, you can pretty much be sure that they're willing to have an agent speak with them. The ones that won't will usually cut you off before you get through all of the questions.

If you go to thetelemarketingforum.com John Durham (the owner of that forum) has a whole section dedicated to lead generation, you may be able to find more info through there.
