  • A headhunter is a recruiter that locates qualified candidates for a job opening and charges the hiring company a fee. The fee is usually 10-30% of of the anual salary or if it's a commissioned position it is a flat fee.
  • As a former head hunter, it's simply a staffing/recruiting agent who finds and recruits talent/people to fill open job requisitions/positions on behalf of independent employment agencies.

In this position there is heavy outbound cold calling to find new job positions/requisitions (business prospects) and individuals (candidates) to qualify them for these open positions.

When I recruited, my favorite part of the job was to have a company take meetings with candidates who would allow me to present their resume qualifications for positions that did not technically exist but for the purpose of exploratory meetings. Often times these meetings would transition from simple exploratory meeting to viable candidate job placements. I don't know if that would work in today's environment as well as it did back in the mid late 90's.

    The good old days.
  • These positions are mid-level management and above, correct? This is what distinguishes these head hunter agencies from the regular temp/temptohire agencies, right?

I'm sure you can find Call centers in the Philippines that would sell for you through the phone at a very competitive price.

You can look at this article:
