What results do you contractually agree to with clients?
I can sell. I have done it plenty of times in my life, and won competitions, smashed sales figures in my jobs etc. I could sell bull**** SEO terms and design a really nice looking website that won't ever rank very competitively or bring in a significant amount of traffic, but I won't.
I won't sell something I cannot guarantee and I can't see how I can GUARENTEE more clients for local businesses through SEO. Can someone help me out here? Here's some examples of what I mean :
- You promise your clients that paying $x per month you will get them first page of Google.
- You promise your clients that paying $x per month you will get them 15 phone calls a month.
- You promise your clients that paying $x per month will 'insert SEO terminology they won't understand'.
Are you guys writing these results in contract? Or just using them in a 'salesy' way to win over clients and really just 'winging it' when it comes to the hard results in the SERPs?
