Marketing Techniques Thread

I wanted to create this thread so fellow warriors can post marketing techniques and help others. The methods can be for your personal business or clients. So I want you to imagine if a client told you to write down every method or principle that could grow my business and add it here. You don't have to explain it just give the name.

I will start the thread with the many techniques I have written down and I want fellow warriors to add to the list.

Methods:
USP Unique selling proposition

Actually there's a lot of ways to market a product/service be it online or offline. Really depends on your niche/industry to see what works and what doesn't. Just to add one to your list - email marketing.

I'll add one that I haven't seen so far and it's probably the most important and is most often forgotten.

Really getting to know your best prospects and clients.

Being genuinely concerned with being of service to them...making their lives better.

Using content in multiple ways to help educate prospects and clients and to attract search engine traffic and traffic online in other ways.

      Email Marketing

      Mobile Marketing

If I were to... I'd vote for eMail Marketing.

It is including a LOT more other things within though, starting with persuasion, copywriting, etc...

How about offering a discount deal for clients who refer some of their own business contacts, sort of like an incentive:

      maybe something like:

Refer 2 clients and get a 10% discount for 6 months.
Refer 3-5 clients and get a 20% discount for 6 months
Refer 5-7 clients and get a 30% discount for 6 months.
Refer 7-10 clients and get a 45 discount for 1 year.

      Just an example.

Incentives are one of the best ways to poach clients.
Also you should say that you have other clients (in their business sector that have signed up or are considering signing up.
