yes this works or you could also just offer to sell them the domain. you could register for $7 and easily sell for $700+ minimum if you send enough emails.

      Hey Don,

I haven't tried this but I read quite a while ago that you put up a page on your server and backlink it for whatever anchor text you want but then redirect it too a clients website.

If the client stopped paying for it you simply redirct it to the next client.

For example, if you were targeting "Denver Plumber" you would put up a page on your website www .YourWebsite.com/denver-plumber.php and backlink that page with the anchor text "Denver Plumber". Once you get a client, you would redirect them to the clients site, transfering all backlinks to the clients site and making them rank high.

It also went on to say that if you change the redirect to another client, the initial clients website will drop within days. I would love to get others thoughts on this as well

it is really not that simple..... matching domain name can show up on page one but not always.. there are always some other factors...

but when you do have a good one that is not parked (having some stupid content is better than a parked domain), consistently shows up on higher page one for that money keyword, and have stats to make the case to prospects, then you have gold....

but then, i would try something else than this, something that is really a proven money maker....

Domain redirecting is quite common. It's usually done with 301 redirect. As mentioned above, you need to have that "exact match domain" ranked first or you'd be just assuming the traffic...

        1) it is really not that simple

(WHO says so? YOU? Where's YOUR "proof'?...YOU'VE done THIS before... or you just "Hypotheticising"?)

        2) ..... matching domain name can show up on page one but not always.. there are always some other factors...

(WHO says you NEED to "be on page One? This is a Different "BallGame" and has to do with biznesses ALREADY on "Page One" and WANT to INCREASE their Leads!)

        3) .....but when you do have a good one that is not parked (having some stupid content is better than a parked domain...

(HOGWASH! YOU don't have a CLUE as to what is being presented here! I do NOT NEED "Parked" Domains! WHAT gives YOU the idea that I DO? PLUS...there is NO "Stupid Content"....JUST a Domain Name that is RE-Directed when people CLICK on the Domain!)_

        4) ....consistently shows up on higher page one for that money keyword, and have stats to make the case to prospects, then you have gold....

(WHO says? Again....THIS does NOT involve "showing up on Page One, or ANY page? And....NO "Stats" involved! YOU...do NOT understand a thing called "EGO"!)

        5) ....but then, i would try something else than this, something that is really a proven money maker....

(Fine! Go find a so-called "Proven Money Maker"! I have MET and KNOWN and SEEN the "Stats" of what THREE (3) people are doing with this "Simple" program! OVER $100,000 A MONTH! VERIFIED! AND....NEITHER THEY NOR I ARE TRYING TO "SELL" SOMETHING TO ANYONE! I am getting ready to GIVE THIS A SHOT....and all I asked was IF, anyone knows about THIS program! Apparently YOU know NOTHING about what I'm talking about So....your "Conjecture" is based on "ZILCH!")

        Sir Thomas -

        1) Domain redirecting is quite common. It's usually done with 301 redirect....

(WHO SAYS! What's YOUR experience with THIS? Actually....all this takes is going to your "C-Panel" and clicking on the "REDIRECT"!)

(HOGWASH! NO need for an "Exact Match Domain ranked FIRST or you'd be just assuming Traffic" I send a COPY...of the "Adwords Tool Results" which my prospects can CHECK OUT FOR THEMSELVES!)

        So....I "thought" I MIGHT HAVE some "experienced" responses HERE. Not the "usual"...."guesses" from people who;
        a) Don't have a CLUE as to what I'm talking about
        b) Are looking on building UP their "Post Count"!

PULEEZE!.....IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE OR KNOWLEDGE about a Subject....KEEP YOUR "COMMENTS" ABOUT WHAT YOU "THINK"...TO YOURSELVES! So "US" folks looking for "REAL ANSWERS" don't "Waste Our Time!"

Unless....this Forum has become a "Chat" Board!

        Thank you,

        Don Alm....looking for Answers NOT..."Chat"!
with that kind of response from you, might have been better to answer your post your self in the first place.... im sorry if my reply was not satisfactory to you... but to answer your question, yes I do know this field, being a domainer long ago and though I dont feel like i know everything, I think Im quite comfy with seo ....

I actually have experience with re-directs and you obviously don't!

"Adwords Tool Results" my a*ss! Who gives a sh.t about adwords results when your "cute" site is not on the top of the page to get that traffic! Unless, you're too dumb to understand what I just said...

Your original post wasn't specific enough to see what you meant. Still, the tone of your response is classless.

I'm sorry but you obviously don't know too much about what you're saying. If you have an exact-match domain it doesn't means it will be on page One of google and here is where the traffic comes from.

I enjoyed your post OP, but can you clarify what is the exact strategy behind this?
You buy a domain name that covers a given niche, allright.
Then you check up Adwords traffics and provide that as an incencitive to buy your rented domain.
Then how do you send traffic to your domain that redirects to the client's site? Adwords campains? PPV?

I think you probably should treat people coming here to discuss with you a little better if you want to stir good discussions. I can see that the above posters didn't quite understand the strategy you are trying to elaborate on, that's not a reason to bash them and tell them to leave if they have nothing valuable to say.

Anyway, you interested me with that post, looking forward to your response.

    Be happy, be successful,

This guy just likes to pick fights with people. You're better off just crossing over to the other side of the street, like when you see that crazy bum up ahead talking to himself.

You need to calm it right down, sir. You are NOT going to be allowed to start talking to people here the way you have historically spoken to them on other boards.

This is a discussion forum. If you don't like what people are discussing, ignore it. If it breaks the rules, report it.

Otherwise... grow up and deal with it.

You still need to do some SEO to get the domain name to rank, even if it is an exact match.

What it looks to me like Don is talking about is renting just the domain name itself. I don't think he is trying to rank it. He just wants to redirect the type in traffic to the website that is renting the domain name. That is one of the whole reasons that there is a domain market out there.

That is why Toys R Us paid millions for toys.com. It wasn't because they didn't have the money to pay some SEO guys to rank them. They were after the people that would type in toys then .com behind it.

I don't know how many people do that anymore with Google search being on each and every browser out there though. Especially when someone is looking for really local info like a plumber in city. It is going to be very low volume compared to toys.com.

Yes, but unfortunately, the original post doesn't specify where that particular domain will be typed into: search box, address bar?

Is he talking about the search phrase or the searchphrase.com itself?

      We might never know...

"Googles "Plumbers in Denver"....writes down the plumbers who are on the first page.

Send them an email saying that his "Keyword Domain" can bring them lots more biz (sends them the Adwords screen copy) and RENTS the Domain so that anyone typing in THAT domain gets Re-Directed to the biz regular site.
      "

He might be even suggesting to "replace" old domain with the new and better sounding one...?
