Continuity Credit Card Payments!!

Hey guys,

I have started to sign people up for SEO over the phone, at $400 a month. They can cancel anytime. There is no contract.

So my question; Do I need them to sign anything to allow me to continue taking the $400 out of their account?

If anyone could help, this would be GREATLY appreciated!

Thanks,

James Farren

Wow...and here I learn from this forum that you don't sell your services over the phone. You sell the appointment. Good for you if you're able to close sales over the phone...Def gotta give it up to you.

    Anyway, back to your question.

For your own protection, it is best to have a written contract.

If you ever paid your bills electronically, you will notice that some service providers may very well store your info to make it easier for you to make your next payment. Just because they have your bank info does not give them the right to process a payment without your authorization....even if you are behind on your car note.

Now, if the payment agreement was recurring payments, you'd still want to send the a reminder, say 10 days ahead of your pending charge...e.g. your car insurance being due on the same day of the month every month.

And ever notice even on bills that you can Autopay, they require a signature?

I think that pretty much answers the question....and am assuming of course that you have a merchant account to charge them.
