Google Places Forum Closing - Moving + Big Places Update
Google Places Support Forum just moved - new name, new location, new features...
WARNING: The old Google Places forum is closing Thurs and will be TOTALLY deleted. NO ARCHIVE WILL BE SAVED! If you have any existing problem threads, important posts or good tips over there that you want to save - better copy them now.
We are transitioning this week with both the old and new forums active to give folks a chance to wrap up existing threads on the old forum. So if you have new issues please post in the new forum.
But again Thurs the old forum closes AND will be totally removed.

I just did an important post today with some tips that will make it easier to use the new Places forum since
it's missing some important features. May save you from wasting time or pulling your hair out.

Also in case you were not aware there was a major update to the way data updates in Places. New listings can take a week to go live and you can get the "we do not support this location" message during that time.
Many other things like categories that used to update right away, now can take days or a week. But descriptions which WERE taking 6 - 10 weeks will now turn around much faster. But there is another update in the works that will improve some turnaround times.
