Critique My Guide to avoid Paypal Freezing

Hi guys so basically I spent the whole week researching on Payment Processors for a site I'm working on but I want to offer various packages for offline clients.

E.g.
Package 1 = £1
Package 2 = £2
Package 3 = £3

(Not real figures)

So I had some info from a lot of useful threads notably

Paypal Freezing the account or funds cos its a recurring billing or subscription not a tangible good with proof of sale and delivery.

Heres my solution which is I a theory and a trial

1. Make sure to verify the account
2. Use those little invoice booklets that a lot of those small pc repair shops use as the hard proof receipts to show paypal incase there's an issue

So in essence the business owner is sent the invoice by me with my ipad while I'm in his shop or when I get back home as well as him/her signing an invoice which is filled out with the exact same service i.e an electronic and hard copy.

i.e.
Hard invoice : Package 1 + details + Price
Paypal invoice : Package 1 + details + Price

Now with this I think we get the flexibility and easy to use Paypal function and at the same time we cover our backs if any issues occurs and you can send the hard receipt invoices to Paypal saying yea here's the hard tangible receipt.

Infact as I'm writing this what I could do is email Paypal every time I sign up a new re-curring offline client scan and then send this hard invoice with their signature e.t.c on

Now Dragons Warriors Spartans what do ya'll think?

The plan was to use Paypal to start off with
Authorize.net after learning how to use it for the 1st time
Google Checkout if its possible to use it as paymment gateway for recurring bills.

  • You will NOT have a sure fire way to avoid paypal account freezes. I was an advantage member, and they made more money off my transaction fees and regular paypal fees than most people do in sales, yearly.

Paypal is currently rebranding. What used to work isn't going to continue to work. Do yourself a favor and don't count on paypal as your payment processor.

Its hard for me to think of any scenario where paypal makes more sense than an authorize.net gateway.

Yep I forgot to mention that you had suggested that

Actually I was gonna use Paypal to start off with
Authorize.net after learning how to use it for the 1st time
Google Checkout if its possible to use it as payment gateway for recurring bills.

  • I'm still a lil confused as to the whole merchant account thing the way I understand it is its an account given to you by your bank specially for payment processing which you pay monthly for and get charged a percentage on transactions for and some require a monthly minimum number of transactions
  • I have met many people and have read about many others that have had their accounts frozen by PP. I believe that they systematically freeze accounts as a profit point. When they froze $4000 of my money they gained the float for the 6 months that the account was frozen.
  • iAmNameLess I just thought while watching Wall Street again for the millionth time

Wouldn't direct debit or setting up a recurring bank transfer be feasible?

And be the solution for money straight into your account?

Then again I'm sure if it was that simple no one would be having this issue.
