Just looking for opinions on what the best web design drag and drop platform is for an offline marketer with no html experience looking to build basic small business websites for local small businesses like florists, plumbers, lawyers, etc etc.

I have narrowed it down to Homestead (Business pro version for 49.99 per month plus $2 per month per domain) or Weebly Designer Account (7.95 per month/client for the basic hosting)

It's less about price for me obviously with a lot of accounts Homestead get's you better profit but I want to know which have better functionality.

Thanks in advance.

  • Of course the offline forum is new, we didnt have this when I was learning, and I have used homestead for years to make so much money it would make you sick... Cant say much about weebly.

Now I mostly outsource... but with all of that being said... we DO have an offline forum now where there is concentrated learning on our subject matter (offline marketing) alone, and with that learning... get ready.... Im gonna say that if you can disciplin yourself for a week to sit down and learn it - Go with WP.

If you just want drag and drop and simple, easy, no major learning curve... Use homestead. The sites work and rank fine, and dont look bad either...there are plenty of options, but word press is more compatible with more new technology, if you plan on expanding your horizons...

I still use homestead for one page stuff or a scratch pad, or basic sites, and I wouldnt feel a bit of remorse for using it on a client, have many..., I would advise that to anyone who needs a real simple solution, but if you have a mind to sit and figure it out for a week, WP is superior in the long run for various reasons.

Again, homestead is fine for drag and drop, and if thats all you want to learn its going to work for you better than WP, but with a little more learning.... word press is finer.

There I said it. We are allowed to evolve arent we?

Lastly, if you are wanting that drag and drop experience at its finest and dont plan on integrating things like live chat... Homestead is the best basic program out there.

    • Thanks John.

My goal is to get to outsource it all. I don't have time to learn WP atm because I already run day to day business operations.

But thank you for the substantial reply, Homestead it is.
  • John Durham, you talk too much . . . Damn, you are passionate about people and I'm yet to see anyone do it the way you do. A simple question asked and you go into details. Most advice you give are facts from what you have tested and not like the opinions people drop off, which could be dangerous to people's business.

God bless you, John. God bess you!
