Landing Pages Aren't Dead On The New Timeline - Not Selling Anything

There has been talk about the loss of landing pages on Facebook Pages. The truth is they aren't going anywhere. They just won't be delivered by default by Facebook anymore.

Now here is the real question, was anyone just sitting around waiting for someone to hopefully just find their page. Stumbling onto a page is the only thing that will truly be affected by the change.

Since we are marketers it would seem that we would be marketing these pages and as such be totally in control of where we send someone on the page. If you don't want to land them on the wall don't send them there.

Here is a sample of how it can still be used to work for you offline clients. Be sure to go through the whole process including creating the free account. Inside the account just click ont the Doggie Cleaning Poo in the upper right hand corner and you will see that it creates a complete process:

Let me know what you think and how you could be using this in your local market.

Remember, I'm not selling anything. I won't be coming out with a WSO to create this for you. I created the whole thing using a WSO I bought. I just wanted to start a discussion about using landing pages after the change on the 30th.

This could really be used for your local clients. I use mine with a Reveal Tab (my own not someone elses) to get the likes. You could do it either way. Then they are clicking on an app whose only job is to get their data, write on their wall and deliver them to the tease.

Now lets say you have a restaurant and you want to build their list. Have them give away a dessert for instance. It has to be something valuable enough that they are willing to jump through the hoops for.

In the restaurant you advertise the short cut to their page at the tab for your offer. They like and then they click on your app link. Collect their information (i.e. their email and add to your list) now direct them to the place where they can print the coupon. This could be a website off of facebook or just another tab.

The whole idea is to insulate your client from totally depending on Facebook. The way Facebook changes you can never depend on what they will do next. The money is in the list and Facebook is just a way to build that list.

Now I use an app. You don't have to have them fill out a form, you just add them to the list in the background.

Now let your creative juices flow on how you can still use tabs to market your offline client business.
