Need a little help with mobile

OFFLINE MARKETING

Can anyone point me to a site or app that will help me with the following:

I have a site that already has a smartphone version installed. The emulators that I usually find just show me what the existing site looks like if it were resized to mobile.

What I'm looking for is the ability to bring up the mobile version of the site on my pc so I can get a screen shot to include in a PPT.

Try an app called "Mobilizer". It allows you to enter the URL of the mobile site and then save the graphic as a png.

Does typing the domain in the address bar not work? I can see my mobile site on my pc if I type in Di-Namic Design

This is cool Di. Have you found a way to turn the phone tho the way testiphone does? Still have not found one that autozooms in/out

Is your mobile version installed in a sub-domain or in the root of your site?

Mine is installed in a sub-domain with a redirect script for mobile phone detection, which is why I can see mine because I typed in www [dot] m [dot] domain name [dot] com.

Di, off topic (kinda) but do you have the redirect code? any faq on it or ? I use mostly hostgator. I can setup the subdomain no prob but not the mobile detector.

For others if you don't want to really install anything and you're computer savvy you can test it on any browser just modifying the http headers in your browser. Firefox is usually easiest to switch the headers.

For an easier way....

Step 1. ) Download firefox
Step 2.) Download the user agent switch addon here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fir...gent-switcher/
Step 3.) Click Tools, go to user agent and decide whether you want android, iphone, etc.
Step 4.) Download firesizer https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/5792/
This addon with firefox allows you to see the mobile version depending on the screen size. Ipad, iphone, certain android phones, you can see it all and modify the size.

There ya go... easy cake.
