how to show phone numbers when call using skype

hello, guys:

i made a few cold calls today with skype. When you use skype to call, at the other end of the line, it will show "unknown" or just some weired code. I found that a few business just ignored those kind of phone calls. I wonder if there is any good way to make phone number show, so i can increase the pickup rate. I know skype offer "online number", but not sure if i got that online number, it will be able to show up or just a phone number that people can get hold of you

any suggestion would appreciate it

    I Havent used Skype in a while, however on outbound calling there used to be a section where you could show your cellphone number on outbound Skype Calls by linking it to your Skype Account.

      yeah, you pay for it, i think its like 2.00 extra a month.

      I DON'T show my number, i personally prefer not to.

      skype shows unknown, california, and one more, i forget what it is now.

      sometimes i call the same business a lot before i ever get ahold of someone, i don't want my name showing up 10 or 20 times
      before i get to talk to some one, it

      A) irritates them
      B) can look desperate
      C) they will definitely know your selling something, and put them on the defensive when they do finally pick up the phone.

      just a different perspective, in case you were interested.
