To the people who e-mail potential clients

I got a wso plugin that had a OTO on how to get offline clients. It was actually a good technique. But they e-mailed their clients and thats how they got new clients. I went out looking for potential clients in a niche and couldnt find any e-mails. So I was like ok ill just call some businesses and get there e-mails saying I made a proposal for their business, well that didnt really go well. As soon as the guy smelled it was a "sorta sales call" he was like "NOT INTERESTED" lol ok... not interested in new clients? Anyways Cold calling is scary. SO i sent a support ticket, posted a comment in the members area and in the wso thread asking how they get the clients e-mails. I havent gotten a reply yet and im dieing to know cause I really want to start getting some clients.

So if you guys know of a way to get business e-mails how do you do it? The plan was to make a video about my SEO package and e-mail it to some businesses. Well ive got the video all done now im stuck, it sucks.
Any ideas?

Welcome to the hard reality that running a business isn't all about using cold emailing as a way for sales acquisitions.

Your SEO service, people are figuring it out. Ask small businesses what the most common email scams are...
    1.) false lotteries
2.) Inheritance from someone you never met in africa.
    3.) SEO

So much spam and scam being sent through email. The reason cold call didn't work for you is because you were cold calling asking for their email. Businesses are VERY open to talking to you, but don't waste their time. Either offer value or don't call.

Calling a business with the intention of getting the email, is very unprofessional. Saying you made them a proposal and would like to email it, is so out of touch with reality I don't know what to really say to steer you in the right direction. I do know, that businesses aren't going to give someone their email for a proposal they never asked for because you don't care about their business.

Drop the attitude about getting them more customers, that doesn't matter. They receive emails and calls daily from people doing the same thing as you. If you called me with some garbage like that you would get off the phone crying. Don't call someone until you can change your pitch in a way that it shows value.

VALUE is key here... not what someone who can't get themselves more business, feels that will bring another company more business. Fact is you're unqualified. If you can't show value you might as well give up. If you were as good as you claim, you would be bringing in your own customers without having to email or call them asking for their email.

Cold calling is scary when you don't have you ish together. Have a pitch, know your product and know why it is better than the competition. Know why your customer needs this, and go for the sale instead of an email. You have their attention right then and there, close them.

  • The quickest & easiest way, if you have budget- is to purchase/rent mailing lists with email addresses. Another option is to only target companies that already have a website, and get the email address from either the whois info or the onsite email address/contact form. Also, you could send faxes instead (or place classified ads, mail postcards, etc)- where you refer the lead to a squeeze page... and the businesses that raise their hand for more info enter your sales sequence.

Since you have a video why not place it onto a DVD and mail it to them along with a proposal letter. It's more professional and still direct.

I love postcards and I like to interview people also.. both work well for me..

For people offering SEO services I always advice the same thing: Outrank them and THEN call them.

You won't close ALL the propositions, you'll be called liar sometimes (how dumb is that lolol) and you'll gain some enemies (people think we're voodu kings making magic) BUT in the end THEY'LL listen to YOU.

Just like if you own a restaurant, you prove to your customers you're a good chef using FOOD. Same ****, different smell
