Talk about giving sales people a bad name...

Just purchased a PLR book on sales and had to share. At first it looked promising as it was not written in broken english, but then I started getting to the meat:

Another thing to watch for is what I call the over-caring customer. These are customers that will buy because they care about you as a person. Once you read this in the customer it’s time to cut the crap. Start playing on that emotion immediately.

Throughout your pitch you should be complaining about how your over worked
and under paid. Even if you make $1000 per sale, tell them you don’t make
much on commission. If you’re doing an in-home demonstration make sure you
work up a real good sweat, and never accept any food or drinks.

You want to get real personal with the customer. Talk about life in general and your life situation. If your past is somewhat dark make sure and tell them how you grew up. Now this strategy won’t sell the product on it’s on. It will heavily sway their decision when they are deciding whether they should buy or not.

Soften your voice and let them know this is how you feed your family (even if you don’t have one)...
My quest for good quality PLR continues...

(On the plus side, I will maybe use this material to write a lesson for my list on how not to sell)

LOL was this a joke or was this person serious? I don't think someone telling me about their dark past would make me buy from them (not saying it would make me NOT buy, but it definately wouldn't play on my emotions.)

That just totally stinks of desperation doesn't it?

The guy is totally serious, he is imparting wisdom from a long sales career allegedly. There are 32 pages but I have stopped reading after the end of that quote

Ah...nothing like deception to make a sale! That might make you one...but it sure won't get you repeat business from a lifelong customer.

I don't know about "sales" plr in particular, but I've purchased some good marketing related books here in the WSO forum.

    Cheers,

    Steve

That doesn't give salespeople a bad name, but it confirms suspicions about PLR scammers

How much did you pay for that crap? I always thought about getting in the PLR game, looks like it would be pretty easy, lol.
