You've probably noticed that little alert when you login to an Adwords account right now saying they're going to be rolling out "improvements" the Exact match in Adwords...

I thought it sounded good but never thought to look to far into it, then I found this article from SpyFu.. if you're running Adwords for any reason you should definitely check it out..

    The way to determine the impact of this is to look at your searched terms report starting the day it rolls out. If you don't like what you're suddenly matching for, make it a negative keyword.

      Yeah that's a really good idea. The article kind of eludes to the fact the idea completely sucks, but, if you've got a bit of extra ad spend for testing, why not let it run and maybe you'll be pleasantly surprised a keyword you never thought of converts extremely well. However, I'm not sure if Google will show you the actual keyword it has decided to use, or if..

      [new york painting] shows up for [new york painter] and Google would just attribute the click to the [new york painting] keyword, if that makes sense...
