Offline Joint Venture...Who Would You Ask?

I am thinking of expanding the Offline Client base and was playing with the idea of Joint Venturing with some other businesses.

So, I would provide them a Finders Fee or ongoing commission, if they introduced us to someone who booked with us.

If I was to do that which type of businesses should I or would you approach?

Estate Agent etc

Any business which does b2b, I have a direct mail piece which I send out to Accountants talking about rewarding their clients I then proceed to go and talk about instead of getting them a cheap movie voucher for being a loyal client why not get them what all businesses want more sales.

Then I talk about the importance of marketing online. I then tell them every appointment I get with one of their clients I personally give them $100. It works pretty well also web and graphic designers which don't do seo (rare these days but there is a couple of them around).

And you can't forget wholesale clients if you are lucky enough to get them all you have to do is convince them that they will make more money if they refer their existing clients to you, very simple.

    Great question.

Ask yourself... who benefits from your target company doing better?

In the case of a pizza shop for instance...if they sell more pizza they will need more pizza boxes, dough, sauce, meat, cheese etc.

Approach the local suppliers of those and they may give you a free introduction to your target and anyone else they supply.

    Good luck!

Go for lawyers, accountants as they deal with businesses all the time. Then business journals, local blogs and even tech/IT guys that provide services to them..
