Does anyone here have experience with Twillio? I know most of yall guys use call fire. I had a balance with Twillio due to setting up a couple numbers for Google Places outsourcer on this forum. He handled getting the forwarded done on that.

Last week I set up 10 numbers for a lead generation WSO. Everything is ranking faster than I expected. 3 sites are on page 1 now(within last 24 hours). 2 have received calls. I need to forward this over to a client for a 2-3 lead F-R-E-E trial run.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Remember to make the advice easy enough a poor ole boy from Alabama like myself can figure out.

THANKS!

    What exactly do you need to know about Twilio?

    I need to know how to forward a number to a different number. Tricky part, the other business won't know it yet. How do I do this?

    You could make a really simple call flow in OpenVBX, or just make an xml file and point your existing twilio number to the URL of the file. Code would be

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <!-- point this xml file to this url on your server http://yoursite.com/forward_number.xml -->
    <Response>
    <Dial>123-456-7891</Dial>

    </Response>

    Change the phone number between the <Dial> attribute to the number you want the call to end up. Make sense?

      Put that code in an text file, and then save it as .xml

      change the information in the file (i.e. the number you want your twilio number to call) then upload it to your web server, any website will do. In your twilio account, point the phone number to the URL of that xml file. When you call the twilio number, it should dial the other number.

    Unfortunately, I am not a web designer and dont have a clue how to do what you just said. So, you can't just forward the number over? Surely, there is an easier way to do this.

    Try this page

    https://www.twilio.com/labs/twimlets/forward

    enter the phone number(s) you want to forward to, copy the code generated. go to your twilio account and point the voice URL of your twilio number to the URL you just copied. This will do the same thing as my previous post, but easier still.

    Just enter the phone number you want called in the first field (required). forget about allowed callers fields, that will limit the forward only to number you enter there.

    There are several great Twilio packages. The best I have seen is Analytic Call Tracking, super easy to setup and get going.
