Lead Gen Ideas for Contractors?

Hey guys I have a client who wants us to start doing SEO for his contracting website. He does full investor rehabs, kitchens, bathrooms, finished basements, additions, etc. I'm confident we can get his site ranking and start driving traffic to his website, but I want to make sure once people are there they have a compelling reason to call or submit an opt-in form. Any ideas for some offers he could provide that would get people to take action?

SEO is the easy part in my opinion....getting the visitors to call or submit their contact info is more challenging. You can have all the traffic in the world but if people aren't calling or submitting their contact info its all for nothing. Any ideas?

    1. Create a ebook that will be sent when email is given. Something like....7 tips you need to know before remodeling a kitchen or bath
    2. Free Consultation
    3. Get 10% Discount by taking advantage of our web special by entering your email
    4. Enter email to get a selected service - some kind of upgrade of product.

    Thats all I got right now...till you add me to the payroll..haha

    Offer them a $500 rebate on a kitchen or bath remodel. They enter their first name and email in the optin to "automatically" register for the rebate. Then start the autoresponder with warm & fuzzy stuff they can get in the remodel. The best photos, descriptions, etc. Send a testimonial if you can in one of the responders. Around 5, 6 or 7 responder offer them a free in home consultation.

    If they optin you gotta offer them the contractors best stuff, free. There's more to it than this but you can get an optin with a rebate.

    Above the fields in your optin you want the title saying $500 Rebate (Big Font) On Kitchen & Bath Remodel under it (Smaller Font). The optin fields.

    If he wants his site to work for him rather than just sit there like a big business card, you could use the rebate as a title, list benefits and have an optin field on the top part of his site.

      A satisfied customer can be your greatest sales tool, but like all tools ,
      ya gotta pick it up and use it.

    I find that listing "pain" triggers gets more response than "pleasure" ones in the HOME niche.

    Need More Pantry Space To Eliminate Clutter

    /\ Absolutely the guy who does our PPC and use to get us leads his landing pages always contained fear triggers in them. Although you do have to balance it out.

    Aside from that you can say anyone who requests a free inspection will get entered in a contest to win something relevant to what you're selling.

    Also I'd have a video on the site and make an offer they couldn't refuse in the video. Some people are just more visual and go straight for the videos.

    I run lead gen for a home remodeler in the Chicago Area. We have set up a big contest. to win $25K+ in home improvements. Of course it doesn't cost the remodeler that much.

    I have had over 2,500 homeowners opt-in to our list. We require more than just an email address, we want the full-monty. Each person who is entered gets a thank you phone call.

    Everybody who enters is automatically entered into our monthly email newsletter.
