Question for those that use infofree

Is it REALLY as good as it seems?

Can you export the leads in csv and import them into Vtiger or other CRM's?

Are the leads CURRENT?

Are they formatted decently in excel or a csv so I can use mail merge to print labels for direct mailing?

It might sound silly but I've always outsourced this to go to chamber websites and stuff like that to compile a database of leads but my guys and girls over in the philiphines are not keeping up LOL. $1/hr is great, but for the volume I'm about to do, I need more.

Am I going to be decreasing my response rate by using a list generated from infofree for direct mail?

I would also like to know about this.

I contacted Manta, and after waiting a few days to receive an automated response that did not address my question, I sent a second email and received a response telling me that I would NOT be able to download a list - and that I would have to manually gather all of my data by viewing each and every profile page, individually.

This was for the $99/month service.

    Thanks.

Yeah, I've noticed manta is kind of 50/50 too... you never know if the listing is REALLY correct. Never would pay for their service, lol.

Well, i did some email marketing using some infofree leads, and about 30% of the emails bounced back, email address doesn't exist ... So it depends what you're trying to do. Imo infofree is good only for direct mailing to consumers, but not businesses.

So the business list is garbage? I won't be doing any email marketing, only direct mailing and cold calling to the leads.. Bummer

I would not say garbage. Maybe the e-mails are outdated, but I am pretty sure you'll get 90% accurate info on the mailing address and phone numbers.

I only sent out about 50 e-mails, so it's not a huge sample to say it works or it doesn't, and the majority were lawyers lol.

The emails I know you can't download... but can you download a csv of the address, business name, number, etc.?

Yes, InfoFREE is really, really good I've used them plenty. Founded by the same guy who started InfoUSA.

I was lucky enough to catch them early and pay only $29.95 a month for unlimited sales leads, but, it's now at $40 or $50 per month...which is still WAY cheap for unlimited, quality leads. If you made just one sale from them, they've paid for themselves

I can't comment on the email leads, as that's not my thing, but, for telemarketing lists, can't be beat, IMHO.

Can you download the info in CSV format though so you can import to a CRM?

I found a URL where I can spend 24.95/mo to join. I just really want to know about the extracting. I don't care about the emails, one bit.

I will be using them for direct mailing and telemarketing.

I've cold called about 500 info free leads in various niches so I have some first hand experience.

                Verdict: Yep...it's amazing.

I've cherry picked and downloaded lists of 200 audiologists from a state into an excel spreadsheet and then worked the list how I wanted to.

                Really grade A tool.

Yes you can download them in a CSV format. I am not sure how importing them into a CRM works but you probably know that ...
If you want me to download a list for you let me know the details, you can try like 100-200 leads and then see if its worth subscribing yourself or not

Yeah you download them in CSV. I do that with my dialers. Works pretty darn good, and you cant beat the price.

I have not wasted my time with the emails, so I can't comment on that. The phone numbers are good, around 90 percent are correct by what I have been calling. That is pretty much on par with what I have noticed using sales genie and go leads.

Hmmm, so I've been shopping around... this is what a sales rep said from infousa

I will remove you from the list Nathan. Just a heads up on infofree, the founder of that company also founded infoUSA and the reason he isn’t with us anymore is because of his unethical business practices. Look up Vinod Gupta on google and you’ll see what I’m talking about. If you are shopping for cost only you will lose a ton in the accuracy and integrity of the data. Are you open to having us be competitive and getting a way more quality database?

I expected more class... Really? I'm betting you said that tongue in cheek. Good luck with infofree. From what I could tell, they seem to be a decent source. Haven't used them so I'm interested in your results if you care to post them.

          Good luck,

Ahem.. Apparently the customer representative is totally right. The guy was slapped hard for stealing from the company. Using it as his own personal ATM.

It was HIS company though... Using the company yacht, and jet... I'm sure we all would be guilty of that, right? I know I would if MY company had one.

The company went private in 2010 when it was bought by CCMP. So no.. he wasn't allowed to drain the company of millions of dollars. Infogroup also had 175 millions in debt...

But anyway, as MonteMichaels points out, it doesn't matter. It's all about the monies. Ethics aren't important, as we all know on Warrior Forum. If you can save money, go ahead and pick Infofree.

            • Unfortunately, Manta's results don't work well for us Canuks (Canadians).

However, as I'm a relentless researcher, I have been able to find new and fresh business resources on a weekly basis in Canada.

Let me tell you about my research.

It's not as consolidated or tidy as it is in the US! Meaning, you can't just look up what you want or need in Manta or any other methods suggested by our wonderful US counterparts.

              Uhhh, umm no!

You actually have to go to the source ... INDIVIDUALLY!

Anyway, the way to find "new businesses" in Canada is very labourious (meaning time-consuming) which most people don't have the time or resources to do so.

However, on the bonus side for us Canuks, the folks that have the time or money can find what they want or need with 100% accuracy and the best part, for FREE!

              JMB

P.S. Software has its place and can be great for most people, but NOT for ALL (depending on what your searching for and for which Country the software / source it's for)!

The question was about the service, not the character of the owner. It's a good service that saves me a lot of money every month.

I doubt that you check Google every time you go to a restaurant, or purchase an item to see if the owner did something wrong in the past. I know that I don't.

Maybe someone needs to offer him reputation management services. That's a big thing right now. Covering up owners past reviews to hide them. Wouldn't be any different here.

Well infofree, so far is wonderful. I split up the leads between 5 of my outsourcers and had them verify the info through a variety of ways, and it seems SO FAR a sample size of about 30,000... about 2-3% is inaccurate so I think that's very good numbers.

I like the options... for $24/mo that I got in on, it's worth it.

Again, InfoFree, DOES NOT mesh for us Canadians!

I swear, you guys have got so much crap on your side it's not funny!

Meaning, if I had the RESOURCES that you do, I would, without a doubt, be a kabiljillionaire! HONESTLY!

LOL^^ At least you aren't in a 3rd world country like we are... eek.. I guess I shouldn't get started on political views lol. But hey, why CAN'T you use this? Just because you're in Canada doesn't mean you can't sell to americans. I have sold to Canadians..

Also, some of you are wondering how I got in at half price on infofree.com the special link I found is: offers.infofree.com

I use InfoFree to put together call lists for telemarketers to generate insurance leads with. We've gone through thousands of their records.
I can't comment on the e-mails or addresses, but the numbers and contact names are almost always correct.

Yep like others, I've had my telemarketers call thousands and thousands of the numbers and they're almost always correct. I LOVE LOVE LOVE infofree and under my $24.95 promo code I have over 1300 people using it monthly, with only something like 3% cancelling the service since november.

This BS about vin gupta is ridiculous. He wants to smash his former company (infoUSA) hard and he's doing it by offering his new service at a price that's insane not to use.

They keep adding new databases and search functions too, the most recent being consumer occupations and state-wide business searching.

Being a lead gen company owner I shouldn't say this but yes I use infofree and yes it's just as good as any infousa or hoovers paid list. They now have state-wide searches and I am sure that soon they will add national.

The leads are as accurate as any other premium list and the formatting is perfect, lots of information to export.

I didn't like that today, when addressing some postcards, that I found a lead in one city, with an address that should have been in an entirely different city. That bothered me and made me question the quality of the leads. I then tried verifying a few others and they were just fine.

Seems great so far, I'm lovin it.
