Pingler question

Hi Guys

Very quick question which I hoe has a simple answer.
I use pingler but I am using both the www and non www version of the URL,
Is this necessary, or do I favor just one?

Also, is there a simple way to get a list of all my urls? Just so I can make sure they are all being pinged.

  • I don't use the www, just my personal choice.

    I would use whatever one is indexed in the major search engines.

    Simple way to get a list of all of your urls?
    How many do you have?
    Why do you feel you need to ping them all?

    • Not sure why I have to ping them all other than to keep them fresh.
      I have to admit to being new to pingler so wasn't sure how to use the sevice.
      I have emailed them but never got a response
      I have about 70 URL's but would like to know if there is a service that can extract my info including the title so I can ping them properly.

      However, I would like to know more about why you ask if I should be pinging all my URL's... sounds interesting.

  • The only time I ping something is when I want to get it indexed quicker.

    I don't ping all of my sites on a regular basis... Only when I add new content.
    So that the search engines crawl it faster.

    You could use both and you should only ping URLs when you want them to always be indexed. It's your personal choice if you want to use www's or not. There's not much difference i guess.

      To the original poster I would only use pingler to get a page indexed not on a regular basis. Also I don't use www either.

  • There is in webmaster tools section where you can say that www is equal "without www", and deal it in one place.

      U have actually not been able to get onto pingler or pingoat for 36 hours now, keeps timing out, tried pc and laptop, anyone else had this problem?
