Is this illegal?

Someone is offering me a deal to sell for them on ebay. I'll receive a $15 commission for each sale. Here's what they said:

"we buy softwares from Microsoft at extremely cheap costs, but being an Indian I am not able to sell on Ebay.com, you can list the product on behalf of me and take a share of the profits. The products are delivered digitally, that is I'll send over the CD Key and Download link and are way below market prices.

      All the accountability is on you the Ebay seller. Most of the keys are temporary and only last 30 days. When the key quits working then the customer contacts you and more than likely reports you and then you get banned. The indian guy just moves on to the next Ebay seller and now you have no Ebay account. In other words don't do it.

    I don't think it's illegal, it just sounds like a loophole in the "system", but it also sounds like a fast an unethical method to make a quick $, so I don't recommend getting into it.

    They are most likely msdn keys and will eventually go bad. Don't sell for this guy because you will be the one taking all the risk for little profit.

    You posted that question, because deep down you KNEW something did not feel right.

    Learn to trust your gut instinct, its one of the most important tools you have.

    That guy is prob selling hacked / cracked codes/software.

    and if your selling it for him on ebay ... he cant be traced, but you can..
    so he takes his money and runs... and you wind up in court.

    I know your young and eager to EARN ... but ,

    be wary of the scum bag predators. They are everywhere.

    I had a mate who used to do this what he did was he would sell the item, then when they brought it he would send them to a link on the pirate bay and then send them the product key through the mail.
