Customer wants his site to be redesigned but...

I talked to a guy that has a japanese rest. He wants his site re-done but on Google it has something that says: "This site may harm your computer"

How do you get that removed? I never dealt with this before!

Thanx Warriors!

    Hi,
Haven't had that one either, but If it were me, I would
    Build a site locally
Get it 100% approved by client
Maybe test it on a diff url before launching it
Back up the old site locally
Delete everything related to the old site from the host - see if the message is still there... Fresh wp install if that's the way your going...
    Upload the new site...
Hopefully all will be good or you'll know before you upload.
As well you could put the new site on a new url and add a redirect to the old url.
(You'd have to change/fix all the citations & marketing though - so this might not be a great solution)
    Just my 2 Cents...

Chances are if he is using a CMS or some kind of "freeware" script, it has been manipulated and exploited. It happens all the time. He should email his server and have them take a look at the files.

It might be because your website has some virus or malicious code on it. This can be fairly common with wordpress.

Your best option would probably be to:
    1) Contact your host and ask them to do a virus scan
    2) Clean up your site files and remove the malicious code; update all scripts and plug ins and CMS Versions
    3) In webmaster there is an option to send the site for revision or you can just use the link that should be on the page where you have the alarm.

Might be best to rebuild the site at your location.
