It depends what you want to be offering as your main service.
Will it be web design, or software development?

Lets say, if its web design-Pick a market like , Laywers, Indipendent bars/pubs/restaraunts, and take a look at their websites. When you find a crappy site, write them a personalized email.

Try and collect about 50 different companies to target, and try to individually close them after sending out e-mails. For the ones you get no response call them, ask them to check their e-mail. Then offer your SEO services a a package once you have them.

As for software, thats different, what kind of software? Widgets? Phone Apps? Databases?

If you have those Email Marketing and Cold Calling system then is time for you to start building your list and segment your list correctly.
Is easy for you to get those email marketing and cold calling service and system but the problem would be come to who you going to contact and buzzzz your email.
1st you would have is your existing customers which you need contact or buzzz them email to cross sell and upsell them to make repeat sales.
2nd is newdatabase , you can either build the list yourself from your website , facebook to request them subscribe your newsletter. If not , you might think of purchase those database as well , but it might not that quality .

As i really don't have any database. I would go on yellowpages or yelp and something like that and will look at there website and contact them via phone or mail.

Does it sounds good ??

Firstly i am going for website design and then for seo. If they have a good website then go for SEO.

That is sheer waste of time. Nothing else. I would suggest you to get a Nationwide business CD, it costs around $600. Or you can look for a specific state or business type also. Then put them on dialer and churn them hard to generate leads.

Email marketing is the best way for spreading your business globally. But it is depend on the base that which kind of offer you are promote to the customer. Email marketing and cold calling is similar work on the customer satisfaction. If you provide services with your business to customer then it will defiantly attract more customer.

Why can you only choose one method? That's a mistake. You need to have several going. But with email, you can expect to send a lot of them for a few results. With calling, you can get results much more quickly.

Most unsolicited email ends up in the trash. With calls, you can at least have a conversation here and there. And emails are primarily a lead generation tool. Calls sell.

Cold calling, IMO is always going to be the fastest because you're having real conversations with real people, and can qualify in or out... then set appointments or do your sales pitch right there.

Then I'd probably list them in this order:

Walk ins
Direct Mail with something unique about it, i.e. lumpy mail
Email

If yes, Didnt really understand the meaning. What exactly you mean by contact or website?

As I told in my previous post, I know a CC doing SEO sales. Calling business owners, selling them website, if they dont have 1 and SEO packages.

All of those responses make sense. Honestly, if you want to build a long term business you need an inbound marketing plan that works. It's a lot of work and takes time, but it pays off if you stick with it. It's another way to control your business too.
