Citation For Local Business is sucks!

Hi Guys I am trying to sign up for some sites such as yelp and yellow pages.

But i can not find a link for it. the only i find is paid service where they full my voice mail with calls trying to sell me premium service ..which i dont want it ..

is Any of you out there can guide me on this .. I need to set it up for some client.. and i am having a hard time in doing it.

    Hmm, not to be an Ahole, but you should probably know how to do this prior to selling it as a service to a client. This is what can lead to other marketers getting a bad rap and image. Just sayin.

    Some of these sites you will have to pay for to get a business listed. Some are free, some are not.

        I try not to promise clients listings in particular sites (can't substitute for Google places though). That way if a particular site starts to be a pain to add clients listings to, I can just substitute a different site and move on. So you promise to build their citation on 10 important local citation sites rather than on Yellowbot, Yelp etc.

        This doesn't work as well for larger clients because they won't be content with 10 citation sites, they will want you to build on all of them.

        It is also extremely important to let clients know there can be delays in the listing going live. I bill up front or when I've completed the work. Not my fault if some listing doesn't update for 2 months. I want my money when my work is done. I will help them bug the citation site to correct errrors and go live though if it doesn't happen according to the timetable on the site.
