Where have you found after effects video editors?

I will be seeking an After Effects guru to edit a few videohive purchases into online commercials. I'd like to know where some of you have found success finding video editing people:

Elance?
oDesk?
Fiverr special gigs?
Warrior Forum?
Videohive authors?

somewhere else?

Have you considered hiring the creator of the AE templates themselves?

Many of them will customize for you for $$$ (and can probably knock it out quicker and better than anyone else).

I don't know what your budget is for this, but I can give you some insight. I have After Effects and edit my own videos (after effects templates). I also do a lot of Video Marketing.

If you use templates from VideoHive, it's usually a pretty straight forward process, however, it's also time-consuming as you not only have to go through and add/change text and pictures, but then you have to let it render your project. The trade-off is, I get them fully customized.

Anyway, I'm sure you could find someone on Odesk/Elance/Guru...etc...but I suggest using somewhere (like India, Eastern Europe, or the Philippines) where the hourly rate will be low if you want to get anything near the prices you would pay on Fiverr.

Just in case you are looking for something a little quicker with access to someone local, I have seen cases of people offering video editing services on craigslist as well. I have seen them for as low as $20/hour. This might be more than you are willing to pay, but the quality is there as well as being able to access someone locally. Just a thought.

I have, I just want to brainstorm all my options and go from there.

      Thanks, I'll look there also.

I've considered that, but I'm trying to get out of doing it myself. I'll probably get a copy and learn it just to make very minor changes so that I'm not bugging someone for every little tweak.

I'm trying to work that out. To get the template + stockfootage, etc + labor, at a reasonable price then calculate the ROI.

Join a LinkedIn Group, search Members, and then filter by your locale.

I found an editor who formerly worked for IMAX Originals. He charges a few hundred per day but cranks out beautiful custom work - FAR better than I or anyone working from a tempate could do.
