Hosting billing service WHMCS attacked by UGNAZI

I don't see this posted anywhere. It seems like it could affect quite a few of us. I know a lot of us have hosting reseller accounts. WHMCS provides billing services for many web hosting companies including, in my case, Hostgator.

  • Before this thread gets out of hand, it was not an exploit of the WHMCS software.

    If you have WHMCS do NOT do any of the following inside your WHMCS:

    1) Help > License Information
    2) Help > Check for Updates
    3) Help > Change License Key

    Any of these will lock you out of your system until WHMCS fixes this mess.

    EDIT: If you do have a WHMCS installation, it would be wise to change the main password and any server passwords associated.
