Google Traffic went down suddenly.

Hello All,

I am new to this forum and I'm sorry if this question has already been asked here. I have this website Carrymart.com and I used to get good traffic. For last few days, the traffic went down suddenly. I checked webmaster tools and everything seems fine except Google Bot could not read the robots.txt at one occasion which I have got fixed now.

Please suggest me anything that I should do to fix it

      Thanks for the prompt reply.

      But we have never used any black hat SEO techniques. Our content is genuine and blog posts etc are not over optimized. Please note that the website is very new though.

    It could just be doing a Google Dance which their infamous for. Did it start happening at the same time as the Penguin update though?

      It was on 22nd May to be precise. I have not tried to put too many unnatural links though but you never know Google!

    If you happen to have record of where you previously ranked for keywords and where you ranked now it would help, but I would think its a pretty big coincidence about when it happened honestly.

    Yeah. Almost at the same time, we got our robots.txt missing to Google stopped crawling and it still shows the same status in Webmaster tools even when I fixed that long time ago. Can that be a problem?

      What happened that caused your "robots.txt" file to suddenly go missing?

        That must have been our mistake I guess and Google stopped crawling, Would that affect our existing ranking?
