Best Marketing Practices

I am marketing what I believe to be a unique opportunity with explosive income potential. Brief description:

It is a device that saves up to 57% on my electric bill. Other than the device, there are no products to order, or store. What makes the opportunity unique is the simplicity, you basically:

Lease the device
Let the device save you money
Recommend that people do the same

When you add the the tax benefits and the tax credits for installing this green device the opportunity actually saves you money instead of costing money, and it still has very explosive income potential. I feel like once I have an opportunity to explain this to people that this thing is going to explode. Problem is I am having a difficult time getting it in front of people.

I really need to better understand marketing and how to develop a consistent plan that I trust and know will work. I am no where close yet, and really, really want to learn!

Any ideas, suggestions, books, practices that anyone can recommend to help me do a better job of getting people to look at this opportunity.
