A message from the you of the future...
It took me far too long in life to learn a simple lesson. I think of all of the people on Wf who apparently are as clueless about this as I was for years...
If you could talk to the you of 10 years from now, I know what you would be told.

First of all, grow a pair. The only people who make money while watching life pass by are toll both operators, and that's not much of a living to make. You have read enough here to know how to go and get yours, so quit hesitating and get it.
The simple truth is you get what you pay for in life, but you have to pay for it first! This isn't a restaurant, you can't stuff your face first and pay after you're full. You already know what you have to do to get everything you want... so what are you waiting for?
Second, quit being so damn cheap. Don't work so hard at cutting corners! Stop looking for the cheaper (read: HARDER) way to do it, you're better off buying the right tools and using them to start making money TODAY. Buy the damn phone number that works, buy a real domain name, buy that damn $7 WSO. You spend more on meaningless sht every day anyway.
Finally, you don't have to be the smartest in your field, you just have to be smarter than your clients. You already know more about IM than all of them, so quit selling yourself short.
Now, quit finding all the reasons you can't do it today, and start finding a way to get it done.
