Golfing and Wedding Industry

Here is the situation. I met with a Golf Course and in addition to golfing they offer Wedding services such as ceremonies and a reception hall.

They explained to me that they are established in the golfing industry but the big problem is that their current website doesn't showcase their wedding services enough plus they are not happy with their current website company. The current website mainly focuses on Golfing and a little on Weddings. They explained that the majority of there income is from the Wedding industry.

Since Golfing & Wedding services are two different industries, do I talk to them about building 2 separate websites. 1 for golf and 1 for wedding services, which I would include 1 page about the other service. I say this because I think creating 1 website for both Golf and Wedding Services may become to cluttered.

Has anyone run into a situation like this and what did you do?

Thanks.

Yeah two different websites, honestly who goes to a golfing site and expect to buy wedding services? So, yeah tell them too make two different sites and feature the individual sites in their respective advertising.

Interesting mash up, weddings and golf. I agree two sites would seem to be in order.

To a golfer who is considering getting married I could think of a number of great ideas for making a guys "special day" even more wonderful. ;p

      On the other hand,
You made me curious so I checked a local scenic golf club angelesnational dot com

They have nicely incorporated Banquets and Weddings into their site, including a nice wedding planning PDF magazine. This may give you some ideas. (Hope it's not the same place.)

Seriously, golfing and wedding all under one roof. I'd bet their reception hall can be used for meetings, seminars, get togethers, etc. You might want to consider promoting the reception hall as a separate biz w/a by the way we also do weddings. Has anybody gotten married at their course? Great pictures if so. Or great video if so.

    Just thinking out loud...

Oh, I once saw a business w/this on their window:

    Electrical Supplies and Legal Advice

    How would you promote that
