Newbie to offline marketing

Dear warriors I need your advice. I am interested in local marketing so recently I have been going to my local craigslist and sending out emails to people who requested services that I could provide. I want to try something with businesses in my area (restaurants, banks, etc.), but how should I start.

It looks like you've already started. Emailing is a numbers game. How many emails are you sending daily? Do you follow up your email with a phone call within 24 hours? Which service do you plan to provide. It's best to start with ONE service before expanding your services.

Send out video emails to peeps on Craigslist, not screenshots, but videos. I know it's "hard" to get on video, but it dramatically increases your chances.

Call them and ask if they would be interested in your services. If you ask enough people some will say yes.

    Here is a nugget.

"If I dont have any money/business coming in today, how many people did I ask for money?"

We spend alot of time wondering where business is , but the question is "How many people have I asked for business today?"

    So, how many?

    3? 4? 10? 1000?

When you answer that question it will make more sense how to get business and why it isnt falling out of the sky all over the place. You have to put something out there for something to come back, and what comes back will be in direct relation (a fraction of) whats sent out.

You have to be asking for it. How many people have you asked today? What are you expecting as far as conversion vs "people asked".

How many people have I asked for money today?

If I ask a hundred people every day for money then I expect to get some , but if Im only emailing three or four people here and there... I might get a shot in the dark once in a great while at best.

Also, "close while its hot". Doesnt matter how many people you talk to, "how many people are you asking for the close from?"
