    crazy, someone recommended this to me in another theme a few days ago. May have been you. My only issue is it doesnt seem colorful enough. Do you know if it can be made to look more colorful?, or at least have it so the slider can be changed with more than just that small rectangle in the lower left of the slider?

    Don't get me wrong it looks great, and very slick, I'm just concerned with the visuals. Any thoughts?

      The beauty of Wordpress themes is that you can always edit them to your liking. All you need is a little coding knowledge or if you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself you can easily outsource to Fiverr or Odesk, or even here. And a lot of newer themes are actually giving users a lot more freedom to change up color schemes and patters straight from the WP dashboard. I haven't personally used the theme mentioned above yet so I can't comment on it specifically but generally WP Themes are pretty easy to customize.

    I've never recommended it before so defo wasnt me. As for your questions I would imagine you can make as many colour changes and size of slider changes that you need.

    And if it isn't available in the options of the theme, it would be soooo easy and cheap to get someone on elance/ odesk to make it happen.

    I have run into this problem many times for myself and clients. I probably spend more time humming and hawing about the theme than doing the actual setup work.

    Give yourself a time limit. Say you'll spend 3 hours finding themes, and at the end of that time you will STOP. You will not look for any new themes after that time limit.

    Then reduce the options by applying a criteria of evaluation (light or dark, how easily do you want widgets to plug in, optimized for advertising or not, etc.) and apply. After max. 4 hours you should have it narrowed down to 3 - 5 options. Then go with your gut.

    I dont think its a good idea for everyone to use the same theme - but sharing for ideas may be healthy.. just a thought.

    I find the best way to pick a theme for any website is to go about it methodically.

    So write down all of the aspects the theme needs to have in terms of style, layout and features. Then make sure you do not look around at other fancy themes that do not meet the criteria and say...oh that theme looks good as well...which will keep you running around in circles..

    A nice theme for offline and local clients is...(not affiliate links)

    Or if you are just trying to get leads for your offline clients..

    Both of these are well put together and look great...

    I spent days deciding on a theme and ended up buying a few different ones off of themeforrest. Then i realised I was procrastinating and just finalised the most recent one and havent looked back since. Spending days deciding on a theme does not get you paid

    Wow guys this thread actually turned out really helpful.

    @Jason, that is a great method and will have to do so in the future. Themes do kill most of my time, and i hate it. So thanks for the tip.

    @Cagey, I've seen the second link before, and wasnt too impressed upon first seeing it. But now realizing that it's the best way to actually generate leads, a business owner will understand when calls start coming in. So those both I will buy and will use for those companies looking for pure lead generation. Thanks so much for those links.

    @beeswarm, that is pretty true.
