losing my job, no scams?

i will probably be losing my job in a few months. i know many WSOs on here are legit but i also know some are a little flaky. if you were losing your job and had to pick one offline WSO to run with - what would it be? i'm not looking to make a million in 24 hours. i'm just looking to earn a few thousand dollars a month, at least to start. i'm a decent sales person so i'm not afraid to go door to door store to store. thanks!

There are a lot of great WSO's for offline. Many of them are great to have but at your point only one is necessary and it's free. John Durham's telemarketing war report.

    http://www.warriorforum.com/offline-...rting-now.html

And when it comes out, his little black offline pitch book will be something you should grab.

Good luck! If you have any specific questions post away and feel free to pm me directly as well I'm always happy to give advice.

    @TenaciousFle,

Forget the WSO and begin a simple business model... Offer businesses a website, hosting, and SEO.

All you need are leads that you can get from Unlimited Sales Leads & Mailing Lists | infofree.com for a very cheap amount, find a Warrior that does great work in web design and SEO, and then get yourself an account with HostGator for $24.95 to start in which you should be able to host 15 people for $35+ a month each.

It sounds simple because it is, the difference is that people are trying to get all the information in the world before starting. Get those few things done and pick up the phone and start calling. I know JD and Jason K. have posted several great posts on scripts you can use.

Personally, this is the best thing for you to start doing to start. If you can get 1 sale a day from calling 400 businesses, you've just made $1500 (depending on how you charge)...

Best of luck to you, and remember, keep your business model simple.

It's good you know you have a few months to prepare!

I would start with asking and answering the following questions to self calibrate:

What do I like best about my current job?

What am I really passionate about?

What would I enjoy doing that wouldn't feel like work but get paid serious money?

Write these down without rationalizing or justifying to yourself why or why it wouldn't work….just let it flow. Put it down then come back at a later time and look at it. See where it takes you.

Yes, put together a simple business plan as stated earlier.

I wouldn't look at WSO's to make money but if you find some that can provide you with sales collateral (flyers, powerpoint presentations, infographics) at a cheap price then go for it.

Use the material to help you save time. You can make changes versus creating it from scratch.

Honestly if I lost my job today... starting Monday I'd be cold calling contractors and emailing lawyers and all kinds of stuff. Gotta work for the money, but I'd make more money doing that than at my job. I wish I could just quit!

The good thing about this business is that "People don't succeed cause they aim too high and miss, no, they aim too low... and hit. Most people don't aim at all." (Les Brown)

Not us... Not marketers. We live far above mediocrity. Always keep this in mind at all times..

I would strongly recommend not using the websites pronouncing that you can earn more then anything over $20,000 per month. If it was that easy? everyone would be doing it

Nothing in life is "easy". But £20,000 a month is extremely achievable, even for a complete novice.

It all depends on how soon you take action, and how hard you're willing to push yourself.

That is what separates an individual who pulls in £50K+ a month from everybody else. Strong work ethic and the ability to 'not give up' and focus on ONE thing.

You have to focus on a product with which you identify. Then you need to create an online store, do telemarketing, use eBay, etc.

If you're not a bad salesperson, and you're willing to do business to business, look into the thread named "Earn 5000 per month and be a hero". All the information you need to get started is there, but Bob also has a related WSO with even more information, and the OTO for it offers some great upsells you can do to businesses. With a few months ahead of you, you should be able to have a solid business up and running by the time you lose your job. There's a whole community forum associated with the business model, and it's one of the few ideas, turned WSO, turned reality that I've actually seen and confirmed real people to be successful with. Not to say there aren't others, but the only one I've personally seen, and I've been lurking and reading for quite a while.

The most important thing when looking at WSOs is to find something that can provide business owners with real value and ROI for a reasonable price. Alternatively you could sell business owners likes on their facebook page for $5 per thousand up to 70,000, go buy 70,000 likes off fiverr, and make a quick $345 off each business owner while providing very little value (although something like the facebook likes can be a nice throw-in with another service you're offering that has real value). Lots of WSOs are full of ideas like that which might earn you a quick buck, but you aren't going to be able to make a long-term business out of it. If someone is promising the world for no work, it's not going to be true. There is no magic bullet, and eventually any product comes down to hard work to get started, and leveraging other people's time if you want to make serious cash.

If you want to make real money doing anything you find in any WSO, expect to do a lot of cold-calling, cold-walking, and cold-emailing letting business owners know that you offer those services, and convincing them that those services have value for their business. Luckily all of those services do have value in the right business sectors, and all of those services you can easily outsource to someone here on the warrior forum for much less than their actual value to those businesses.

Products you can offer and easily outsource:
      Web Hosting
      Website Creation
      Mobile Websites
      Facebook Fan Pages
      Local Search Optimization
      Search Engine Optimization
      SMS Text Marketing
      Direct Marketing
      Print Brokering
      Graphic Design
      Copy Writing

      Prospecting Methods:
      Phone
      Walk-ins
      Email
      Direct Mail
      Voice Broadcasting
      Referrals

      6 Steps to Success:
      1. Pick which services you want to offer
      2. Learn a bit about them (WSO's, Read info online, or just ask here on the forums)
      3. Decide what businesses would be best to target with your services
      4. Pick which prospecting methods you are willing to do
      5. Learn a bit about them (Read info online, watch youtube videos, again, ask here, etc)
      6. Start earning money

Solve a specific problem for a specific person. Charge them a percentage of the true financial value you create. Repeat.
