What is holding you back?

Hey Offliners,

For those of you who haven't landed a client yet or maybe have just landed a couple.... what's holding you back?

What's the reason you haven't taken action (or taken little action)?

What worries you about the "offline" world?

Dan

For me, I believe they will ask me for something I don't know how to do yet.
I also think that most businesses have heard of similar services as mine, so
why would they pick me above the others?

      Hey Cuban Gorilla,

      What are you offering?

There's always going to be others selling what your selling... thats a good thing, there's a want for the service/product in the market. It will come down to your approach and your unique selling proposition.

I think for most people its approaching clients by phone or personally when that does work well.
Would like to see how this thread develops...its an interesting question.

      Hey RD Phoenix,

Is this how you have been going about getting clients? Do you cold call regularly or is it something you haven't gotten yourself to do yet?

Feeling like I am not "ready" to make those calls. Rather by phone or in person.

I've been studying this (offline) niche so long, on and off, it feels like there is too much I am not prepared for.Feel like I've gotta' make fliers, business cards, a better website and on and on. Don't even have a business name or license.

Honestly though, those "feelings" are a lie. I've got a bunch more too...
Wrong clothes, poorly equipped, some days I feel downright ugly.

    ALL LIES!

I am fearful and lazy (they work together). PERIOD.

I've got it all in my head. I am good to go. I know what I am doing. If I was to hit a snag, the best back-up team on earth is behind me 100%. Thank You Warriors!

The truth is that business model is probably not for everyone that bought into the course or the dreams that they will have businesses paying them thousands a month for work they can outsource to others

Many of the fears mentioned so far are felt by newly hired sales reps back from sales training.

However, their sales manager is not going to let them sit and be paralyzed by fear and do nothing.....they have to get out there and take action. Eventually they will learn the business and those that stick to it will become seasoned pros.

But you have to "get busy", take action and your knowledge will grow. It is okay not to know everything....you simply say, " I don't have an answer for you right now but I know where I can go to find out".
