can anyone explain this to me please

I put my information online instead of cold calling using LinkedIN.
No add, just optimized my profile and comment in a few groups.

Got one response so far but don't really understand what the person is looking for...

Subject: RE: I am a small business marketing consultant dedicated to getting real world businesses onto the internet by providing a website and all...

I get a lot of offers to help me reach people and I do appreciate those however I am looking for expertise that understands the social media industry with a perspective on the domestic services industry. This varies for society to society; and within societies from community to community.

I understand the need for web devs, but the more important and sustainable strategy points to the fact that I have customers who need the dev support you provide and you have customers that need the delegation support I provide. Delegation is used here to mean control through assignment of task and responsibility. That is what I am exploring with LinkedIn.

Yes, we can talk, but from the prospective of how we can collaborate and what your true expectations are of me. Please, reply your interests.

Not sure I understand the domestic services industry. What is it--maids and houseclaning and IM not sure about the devs or development support he is looking for. I will email him later, but I don't want to appear too ignorant. Even though he is my first response---YAY..Too hard I may not go with him.

Your help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

    Yes,

I think they are talking about maid services and the like. But, I have now read that twice and what you have is one of those clients that you have to fire before they hire you. Hard to know, it is as if they want to hear themselves speak. Just my opinion.

lol He is not a client or wishing to be a client of yours.

He is fishing for business just like you are.

Don't worry about ignorance, ask him to clarify in 5 simple sentences what he has to offer.

Hehe quite. When I get these type of spam emails - telling me how they can help my business, as if they'd built it just for me - I ask them to provide a detailed breakdown, ask them what they know and simply reply with no thanks when (in the unlikely event) they reply!

    That's wild.

Like Charles Huber ^^ says it looks like someone in a cleaning type of services is looking for someone who can brand them on Facebook and other social media.

Then it goes into a lot of double talk. Or big words.

Me no like big words. Me confused by them.

After reading this for the third time I am somewhat intrigued by where this would lead. However, I think pursuing this particular contact would be better classified as a social experiment/learning process rather than a current/viable business contact.

I think what he/she wants from you is social media assistance for his clients in the domestic (housekeepers, maids, butlers, nannies, etc.). What he/she is offering you though really makes me scratch my head. Control?? How and what is he/she going to control that would benefit your clients? If your clients are domestic workers I could understand, but what about professional clients of yours? Does he/she plan on providing "control" for them?

I think a follow up asking that precise question would be in order IF you decide to follow up with this contact. You might be better off waiting for contact #2.

S/he is looking to set up a referral agreement and or strategic partnership. You both have clients (presumably) and he sees some mutual benefits in you two working together. Whether or not he is sending that horrid email to anyone is another question entirely.

Call him and find out what he wants.

95% of IM'ers have great relationships with clients who also advertise offline and with other people. Stop missing out on that cash and leverage into it. PM me if you are an established marketer and want to find out how.

If you don't understand it then you obviously aren't the person for whatever it is he is looking for. Correct?

I think what the person is looking for is for domestic maids to have an online monitoring services available for their own clients. I think the person also need input on theirown business LOL.

That is a very confusing reply, though.

This one was intriguing - I think he's looking for a barter, tit for tat, criss-cross - you provide web design; he provides you maid service or perhaps domestic partners from foreign countries? That would be funny. The mind boggles.

Ok looks like these paragraphs tells us the following.
    1. They get a lot of offers for social media consultants.
    2. They work in domestic services aka maids
    3. They like to use big words to sound smart.
    4. They understand you offer web development and claim to understand it is important.
    5. They have clients that dev support and point out that you provide that. And they assume you have clients that need "delegation" support. I assume this is there way of making maids sound fancy, but once again it comes off like they have no idea what they are saying.
    6. They try to explain what they mean by delegation but I am now even more lost.
    7. You can collaborate. WOOT! I bet you can't wait.

What you can take from this.
    1. You are advertising in a place where everyone else is. How can you be different and stand out to people?
    2. They (and others maybe?) are looking for social media with a focus on their niche. Can you learn to focus on one or more niches to stand out when networking/advertising/spamming linkedin?
    3. They actually come off dumb because the big words make no sense. This is a potential client I would avoid. Seems like a client you would have to fire if you even closed them.
    4. They are trying to stroke your ego a bit. And IMO failing. Also get the feeling english is not their native tongue.
    5. They are offering a client exchange. Basically they want you to work for free and they will send you clients. And maybe if you are really drawn in by them they will get some of your clients as well as the free web consultant services they are seeking.
    6. These guys can't even make it clear what they are saying. This mean you need to run away as they will be a nightmare client if you land them.
    7. You can work together. They will provide great services like "maids"(I think) and delegation services (even they seem to have no clue what they mean by this). Hell I bet they will even provide their copywriting skills (aka use big words to try and hide the fact you have no marketable skills). All you have to provide is the rest. You know all the real work.

If you haven't figured out to rn away by now have fun.
