What is your cold calling set up?

Hi everyone, just a couple of quick questions.

Does anyone here use skype exclusively for their cold calling? It seems like a fairly inexpensive way of making a high quantity of calls. I've only used skype with family members, is it a good quality for making phone calls?

My other question is regarding the headset you use to make your calls. Again, the more inexpensive the better, but I want one with a good sound quality both ways. Does a standard logitec headset or something like that do the job?

    If you really want to be on fire, get yourself the following:
    Google Voice number and App on your smartphone
    Call Fire auto dialer ($2 an hour)
    Excel sheet of leads pulled from infofree.com
    I used to use a Logitech headset from Walmart but I got better quality just with my Iphone.

    You can go through 60-90 numbers an hour with this setup.

      I am setting up a system. I am wondering how this setup works since callfire works only on computers?

    Thanks for the advice, unfortunately Google Voice is a paid service where I'm located, in the UK.

    Similarly infofree.com isn't a UK service. I've been using the Yellow Pages and going through manually. I'm sure if I expand I could pay someone a small fee to do this task for me, but if anyone has any free lists in the UK that would be awesome!

    I am using skype with a low end headset. It is the cheaper alternative, but I admit it is much slower than other setups.
