I finally sold my first mobile website!

Hey Warriors,

After a long time of doing offline marketing, I finally sold my first mobile site. I sold it for a little less than $200. Overall, it was a great feeling since I had done so many different things to get clients and nothing really worked. After giving up, I got a reply and there was no need to do any cold calling.

All I have to say is that you should never give up. I sent this email only once and to one client only. This is why I think this email is great. Funny as it may sound, but the subject line wasn't all that catchy either. I don't remember what I typed in as the subject line, but I usually put these words:

"Hi"
"Quick question"
"Where exactly are you guys located?"

Believe it or not, those subject lines get opened.

If anybody would like to get the email that I sent to the client which actually caused the business owner to reply and end up buying a mobile site, pls leave a quick reply below and I will send you a quick PM. Thanks

      I was planning to do that and I wanted to do that to avoid filling up my PM inbox, but my client might accidentally see it. I know that sounds weird, right? Anyways, I just don't exactly feel comfortable posting it.

      I just wanted to point out that I am not selling anything and I am not collecting emails for a list. If I was, I would've used an opt in subscription form. I am a legit marketer and I only want to help. Just send me a PM with your email and I will get it to you.

      I am asking for the emails because I am not able to PM yet.

      I basically just emailed the business owner like I always did. The email I used is very straightforward. I can send you it in a PM if you want. Just let me know! Thanks again for your appreciation. My marketing strategy is just to be as kind as possible to those that I email. HAHAHA Since I am no professional, it can still be hard to really market effectively.

      I am surely going to be using social media later on once I get more time on my hands.

    So...how long did it take you to get a sale for $200?

    And you only had to send how many emails?

    I honestly am shocked when I see the people lining up to ask you for your secret sauce email...shows me how badly people are needing help.

    So folks, if you want to do it this way, and keep getting these results--one $200 sale after "giving up" from sending so many emails--then more power to ya.

    I think you could be doing other things than emailing alone--facebook, linkedin, putting a sign up at a busy intersection on Saturday, something--to be more effective at selling. The tough love is this is going to remain a hobby for you unless you improve your marketing methodology.

      I totally agree! e-mail is just a very small piece of the puzzle! If you ask me cold calling is the fastest and then a good follow up e-mail and a follow up call!

      I actually sent the email to one person only. I have sent several dozens of emails to different business owners for the past several months. I have even bought a few WSOs but nothing really worked even though I tried them constantly, but this email that I came up with got me my first sale. Since it helped me, I decided that I might as well share it with the Warriors since I know that many of them are having trouble.

      I would really like to make this a real business, but it is so hard since I am just so busy. Getting into Linkedin and other social sites is a good idea, but maybe I will do so in the future.

      Give the newbies that cannot invest in WSOs a chance. That is exactly what I am doing. I wanted to help them, so don't go on trashing this thread making fun of those who are asking for my help and getting the email that I used. It's basically the only way I can really help others out.

      Hey OP, I'm thinking what Jason meant by this line is how many emails were sent out in general, not necessarily to this one business/owner. With this being a numbers game (expect so many sales out of so many emails sent), I'm curious as well.

      So how many emails did you send out before getting the sale? I think I saw several dozen somewhere....is that it?

    However, I find it totaly bizarre that you are prospecting using email...

    Here's why: I have NO success using email...even my colleagues struggle using email.

    I/we use persuasive letter via direct mail - then follow up with a phone call (I never cold call) give it a try I'm sure you're results will improve...

    Congratulations on your first mobile website client. I know how it feels because I got my first clients via email too some time ago. It is not easy, but if you stick to it it will get easier as you improve your approach.

      Well done on your first mobile site sale...

      Now you need to test different email messages to see which ones give you a better response.

      It's about testing and tweaking...I suggest you use a service called pointofmail.com (not affiliated with them) which allows you to see who has opened your emails, how many times and at what time.

      This allows you to see which email got opened and read...then just follow up with another email or phone call to try and get the sale.

    Thank you guys so much for the huge response from all of you. I think I've sent out the email I promised to almost all of you guys.     The reason why I am back is just to say sorry to those that I wasn't able to reply to. I've been so busy with so many things. But one thing I wanted to do was to still help more and more people. I am planning to create a WSO in the offline marketing world which has helped me out so much more than the email I promised on this thread. I want to sort of get a few people that I can use a case study for the WSO. I'm not so sure if I am able to do this here or in the members contest section.

    Anyways, I want to help a few people regarding this method I've been using, so if anybody here wants to be mentored by me for free and be a part of my WSO, please send me an email to the email I outlined above. I will be limiting this to a maximum of ten people, but I may make it bigger if you show me you are willing to put in the work.

    There is one condition though: you have to be willing to follow my instructions. This is all you have to do. Next thing you know, you will end up with a bunch of clients running through your door.

    I really do hope I can help more and more of you guys out there in the offline world. I am glad to have inspired many of you guys here. I wish you all the best of luck. God Bless
