Outsourcing content writing for local biz sites

Does anyone have a good resource for writing web copy for small service oriented business websites?

I have tried a few article writers but they do not seem to get the difference between an article for ezinearticles as opposed to content for a home page that will motivate readers to call or fill-in a form.

I know we can try writing ourselves but I suck at it and would rather pay someone who can do it well.

Contact several writers here on WF, order one 600-800 words article.

Ask specifically that this is for homepage of local business, the goal is to make them call.

Compare the results, you will find one you like.

Good writer usually charge at least $15 for 500 words, below that is usually crap.

If you have the money, hire a copywriter. From $100 per page.

You can't hire article writers and pay article prices and expect to get web copy that sells. I write both and they are two different animals at very different price points.

Guys, I think the OP is looking more for good copy - headlines, calls to action, etc. - someone who is experienced in writing in a sales letter format, rather than simply an article writer. Effective sales copy will be much more expensive than regular informational articles.

I'm actually looking for something similar. If I find someone I'll let you know, AussieT.

Apart from all these options, you can also try posting on classified ads online. For example, you can post on the classified ads for the Philippines and find content writers there.

Why don't you try data entry outsourcing firms who provide content creation and content processing services? All you want is compelling contents on the homepage that motivate users do perform specific actions. Outsourcing firms expertise in branding and advertising, Just a thought.

That is a good point - really if you think about it, its not so much that the writing is award winning copy, but that it has integrity and someone does it. I think getting writing done has got to be the most difficult thing ever. I end up doing it myself, and I really need to get away from that and learn to pass the work on and concentrate on building business.
