HELP : my biggest clients rankings have dropped HARd

I have a client who has been ranked on page 1 for quite a while. All of a sudden they dropped to page 2 mid July, I thought it was just a dance. I just got ranking report from my seo provider , we are now ranked in the 50's !!! He has no explanation except for that it could be ON-page issues. I dont think thats what it is......

WHO CAN I TALK TO THAT CAN TELL WHAT CAUSEd THIS , THEN HOW TO FIX IT !!!!!!!!

PLEASE POINT THE WAY !!!!!

( i have never done linking, i have always outsource to trusted people on the forum so please dont suggest i do this or that , because I probably cant, I need help!!)

    I think TheBlogger is right. It happened to one of our websites. But everything seems normal now. Just give it some time and see how things turn out.

    Possibly though could be Penguin as well....Depends on what type of link building they were doing and how.

    I've used freeseoreport.com in the past, and the report always had some good suggestions on how to improve rankings.

    I'm not sure at this point what their fee schedule is. Originally, the first report was free and then they charged for additional reports unless you became a monthly member (something like $20/mo.)

    get your outsourcers to give you link reports of what they have done, i'll take a look at it. just send me a PM

    Nice to see everyone come together like this. Love this forum.

    I would suggest giving the on-page stuff a hard look. Are you using Webmaster Tools with submitted sitemaps, regular and geo? KML file?

    If it's a local business, I'd focus on building high quality business profiles on sites like insiderpages, merchantcircle, etc.

    You should make sure all social profiles are done and get some high quality writing on the site to share over these channels.

    Have you claimed Bing, Yahoo and G+ Local listings?

    Look up local directories. Get some local online classified ads with links and citations...

    If you wouldn't mind posting a link to the site, too, it may help everyone to look at the site architecture, etc.
