Avoid Falling Prey To These Nasty Things

Recognize the following words that pushed your hot buttons in the past and maybe regretted after?

turn-key
just follow the system
magic
amazing
unbelievable
riches
4-hour work week
easy
no brainer
low investment
everybody else is doing it

It can be hard to admit that we have fallen and paid the price
for our inherent weakness.

Are you also attracting clients and customers
who are a pain in the butt because you use those same words to them.?

A good ad leaves the reader with something he can understand and gives him something to think about long after he has read it.

Is this the right time to look at yourself in the mirror
and finally admit you've fallen prey to those words
and not make the same mistake again?

Or carry on being frustrated by your lack of progress?

Yep, a bucket of icy water thrown over ya
sometimes is needed to turn you around,
because what's been done before hasn't got you out of your mess.

This weekend could be the right time to work on this.

Best,
Ewen

I'm told by the author of the 4 Hour Work Week's colleague
that he himself works closer to 100 hours, and was just selling to the dream.

I can say that I am nowhere near a 4 hour work week, I don't see it being possible. I'm around 80 hours min on a good week.

Why would we want to cut short the hours doing what we love anyway?

Those that want to cut their hours must hate what they are doing!

Love this... It reminds me of the book "The Outliers" HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK! Get it now, it will change your perspective on many things in your life, especially with regards to becoming successful.

I put in. No word of a lie, I put in 100 to 120 hours a week. I have a full time job, an internet job which takes up more and more time, and I develop houses on the side.

When I am "taking a weekend" from online work, I work offline.

Thank god for a young body!

I just got a spam email basically telling you to

    1. Buy the system
    2. Read the info
    3. Go to sleep
    4. Wake up
    5. Make money

Its also funny that they said no affiliate sales what so ever then they show you their earnings chart from click bank.!!!

Basically people will knock on your door and throw money at you and stuff your mail box with checks just for buying their product. lol

I will say this I believe something similar to a 4 hour work week is possible. Many of the tasks we do every day we could hire someone else to do. You could get to the point with the right staff that you were basically not working.

The key to this is you have to build a business up before this is possible and you have to put processes in place that make it work.

Of course how many who build a business like that will stop at just one? Branson is a classic example of this. He just keeps building businesses and putting the right people in charge of running them.

But if someone wanted to build a business and from day one planned for it to take around 5 hours per week of their time they could. Of course Tim sold people on the dream and not the reality.

I can tell you this in the corp world i have done many management jobs that took less than 10 hours a week of active work. Of course the job required me to be their for 50 plus hours but on average I only "worked" 20% of the time. And that was the key point that Tim's book was making. How much real work do you do and how can you get to the point where that real work is all you do.

Of course most of the businesses we talk about on this forum are not easily built to be hands off. But their are many business owners out there that literally are just owners. Hell the 1% is full of these people. They pay less taxes because it is capital gains and they do very little work.

Any business can do this. Simply look at your business and firgure out how much it would cost to replace yourself. Once you get big enough you put managers in place and at that point you are basically fully replaced.

As your business grows you naturally grow the staff.
    Assistant
    Telemarketers
    Sales Professionals

It's only natural that in time all you personally do is manage and train. And in time you pay someone else to do this as well. So in the end you are not actively managing the business anymore.

Of course I suggest following the Branson lead and build multiple businesses like this. That way you have multiple income flows.

    Ewen,

You are correct. We all have fallen for the same or other hot button promotions. After all, we were interested in the shortest and easiest route to mucho moola. So was the promoter of said shortest route. What we didn't know was the extent of bullshit he was shoveling. That's not a shame on us. That is an education and a damned cheap one at that.

    Have a great day,
