showing address in google plus local

For offline marketers with a business verified listing on Google Plus local who works at home....Do you hide your address if you don't serve clients at your location or do you disregard Google's guidelines and choose show address anyway?

Do anyone of you have a virtual office?Do you show your address in Google places?

If you do not serve clients at your business address, you must hide your address. There is no advantage to showing it, so there's no point in breaking the ToS.

As far as using virtual addresses... some allow you to rent boardroom / office space, and in that case, the same rule as above would apply: do you service clients at your office?

If the answer is "no," hide that address.

    Hey W,

I would be sure to do a few key things:

    - citations

add your business name, address, phone and website url to as many business directories as possible. Do a search for local directories, too and submit your info there. If you're not sure how to do a citation, make sure you're rendering your info like so:

    Business Name
    123 Anywhere Street
    Your City, State ZIP
    (555) 555-9827
    http://yourwebsite.com

Keep that consistent. If the web listing doesn't render the citation properly, put it like that in the description box. You can remove the URL if the site doesn't let you put it there.

    - local ads

create as many classified ads as possible with your citation in it, with a description and images if possible. You can probably find a lot of lesser-known classifieds, too - local newspapers can be a great source

    - website structure:

there's another thread in this forum - http://www.warriorforum.com/offline-...-location.html

I give some details on effective website creation for local seo.

    - share content

as a web designer, there should be no shortage of great video / blog content you can put up. Share it. Post everything to twitter, facebook, linkedin and especially Google +. Get up on authorship using the rel="author" markup and you could have your face plastered all over. Interact on social media by linking to other local businesses. Create interesting videos and share those links, too. You can have a lot of fun with this.

Connect your site to G+ PAGE using the rel="publisher" markup, too. You have to read up on this to get this to work properly with rel="author" on the same site.

    - make sure links to your social and business properties are in the backend of your G+ local listing.

Now web designer searches rarely bring up G+ Local listings. But doing all the above will certainly help your website rank and you may get a map marker in the SERPs along with your photo if you've done the authorship markup correctly.

I probably left a lot out, but in the interest of keeping this response from becoming 3 miles long, I've tried to give you the easiest things to do

    I hope that helps.

EDIT: Just realized... I don't speak Spanish =\ kinda hard to create meaningful citations without being able to read the websites. Sorry.
